This morning, our residents gathered at the Butterfly Café to enjoy a relaxed catch-up over coffee and delicious treats. These special moments provide the perfect opportunity to chat, share stories, make new friendships, and simply enjoy each other’s company in a welcoming atmosphere.

Cert 3 in Business Administration Trainee / Receptionist

The Organisation:
Moonta Health & Aged Care Services is a Not For Profit 77 bed aged care facility offering NFP Salary Sacrificing options. As a consumer focused organisation, we are seeking a person who shares our philosophy of person centred care for our residents. As a registered employer under the Traineeship and Apprenticeship Scheme MHAACS are now looking to offer a Full Time traineeship in Business Administration Certificate 3.

The Role:
The successful applicant would have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and enthusiasm to to assist where needed.
You will work well within a team but also autonomously. Your professional attitude along with a compassionate nature will be required to work in an Aged Care environment.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Business Administration
• Customer Service/Reception
• Provide support where needed

Essential Criteria:
• Experience in Microsoft Office
• Current Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Clearance
• Drivers Licence

Desirable Criteria:
• SACE

As per the traineeship contract, time will be provided for training.

ENVIRONMENTAL ATTENDANT (Cleaner)

The Organisation:
Moonta Health is a Not-for-profit 77 bed aged care facility offering NFP Salary Sacrificing options. As a consumer focused organisation, we are seeking a person who shares our philosophy of person centred care for our residents.

The Role:
The successful applicant will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and enthusiasm to assist where needed. You will work well within a team but also autonomously. Your professional attitude along with a compassionate nature will be required to work in an Aged Care environment.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Restock consumables
• Meeting infection control standards
• Working with Care/Nursing staff to ensure resident needs are met

Essential Criteria:
• Proven experience in cleaning environment
• Current Police Clearance
• Evidence of right to work in Australia

Desirable Criteria:
• Proven experience in Aged Care

This Level 2 Aged Care Award position is for an 18 hour per week permanent part time contract.
Required days are Monday, Thursday and Friday and for sick and annual leave coverage across a 14 day roster.

Our residents embraced the festive spirit as we celebrated Christmas in July with a wonderful luncheon filled with delicious food, laughter, and great company.

The celebrations continued with a joyful singalong, where familiar Christmas carols brought smiles, happy memories, and plenty of festive cheer. It was heartwarming to see everyone joining in, singing along, and enjoying the magic of Christmas—no matter the season.

🎲 Rolling into fun with Ludo! 🎲

There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition and great conversation as our residents enjoyed a game of Ludo together. Whether it was cheering on a winning move or sharing stories between turns, everyone had a wonderful time.

Games like Ludo are a fantastic way to encourage social connection, keep minds active and, most importantly, create smiles all around.

At our home, it’s not just about playing a game—it’s about making memories together. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Kadina Cottage Garden Club for their incredibly generous donation to our home. 💚🌸

Our residents are delighted with the beautiful new birdbath and outdoor table and chairs, which will provide a lovely place to relax, enjoy the fresh air, and watch the birds in our garden.

We are also deeply grateful for the generous donation of $500 towards our Lifestyle Program. This contribution will help us continue providing meaningful activities, special events, and memorable experiences for our residents.

🎈🏸 Balloon Tennis Fun! 🏸🎈

There was plenty of laughter, smiles, and friendly competition as our residents took part in a game of balloon tennis! Using balloons instead of tennis balls made the game enjoyable for everyone, encouraging gentle movement, hand-eye coordination, and lots of teamwork.

It was wonderful to see everyone cheering each other on, sharing laughs, and having so much fun together. Activities like these are a great way to keep active while creating special moments and lasting memories.

A fantastic effort by everyone who joined in—we’re already looking forward to the next match! 💙
