.. aaand it’s Cold Season again ..
Now that the weather is cooling down and we experience a greater temperature span between day and night, it’s sneezing and coughing season again..
What can Chinese medicine offer?
Acupuncture points for acute Cold invasion focusses on driving out ‘pathogenic Winds’ – and strengthening your Wei Qi (defensive energy). These are mostly points on the upper back (Lung area), and around wrists and ankles.
Chinese herbal medicine has two major lines of defence.
1- Yin Qiao San is a phantastic formula that is indicated when the main symptoms are a sore throat, Headache, and a mild fever.
2- Sang Ju Yin is the go-to formula when the main symptom is a cough (there might still be a bit of a scratchy throat).
These formulas work best when taken withing 24h of onset of symptoms.
