‼️If you’re having in*******se every two days of the month to try to conceive- you’re just tiring yourselves out.‼️

I see this so often in the clinic: where patients who are trying for a baby just try every other day. But, realistically, we are only fertile for about 5-6 days in a cycle. So, if you can’t figure when (and if) you’re ovulating, you can just try in this window.

Find your fertile window by finding out when you ovulate. Swipe through to learn how! 🔍 ➡️

🍵 Keeping it real on day one of my period:
Messy hair, doing work on the couch in my pyjamas, needles in my face, heat pack in my waistband… It’s not always instagram-worthy. BUT self care should be relatively simple, intuitive and achievable.

I do my admin from the couch during my period because it’s comfy.
I have soup and warming, cooked foods throughout as they’re easier to digest and help maintain a warm environment for a happy flow.
I have a heat pack on my tummy to help blood flow and keep me comfortable if any pain arrives (this one has been pain free- yay!)
Acupuncture to help settle emotions and help restore balance (pictured here- mainly for skincare).
Warm bed socks on to protect the Kidney and Spleen channels from cold.
A giant cup of chai tea for its warming herbs like star anise, cinnamon and cloves.

All easy and doable. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect, just learn what your body needs and do the things that help it.

First pain-free period in months 🥳🥳

This is a huge win for me after a busy and fun (somewhat chaotic) Summer. I noticed that my periods were becoming painful and I was getting premenstrual symptoms come through again for the first time in a while.

So, I’ve been really nourishing myself by watching my what I’m eating and drinking, making herbal teas, reducing my stress levels, getting acupuncture, quitting coffee, reducing alcohol, getting outside and also allowing myself to rest physically and socially. And finally- pain free again!!

This months tea contains:
🍵Da Zao/Jujube: to nourish Qi and Blood + digestion🍵Gui Zhi/ Cinnamon twig: to warm the channels
🍵Gan Cao/ Licorice root: to nourish and harmonise
🍵Mei Gui Hua/ Rose buds: to move the wi and ease stagnation

I’ve never thought of myself as perfect just because I’m a healthcare provider. I’m always learning along the way with you guys!

A lot of people find Winter tough.

But Chinese Medicine believes that if you live in accordance to the seasons, your health becomes more aligned. In Winter, we slow down, eat warm, go inward, protect our Kidneys energy. Your body already knows this rhythm. It’s just waiting for you to follow it.

If you’re ready to actually feel this shift in your body, we’ve created something special:

Winter Yin & Pins: a deeply restorative 1.5hr experience combining yin yoga, acupressure & acupuncture, rooted in TCM wisdom and designed to nourish you right down to your deepest reserves.

Your chronic stress is depleting your Kidney Jing.

So is your bad sleep, alcohol binges, skipped meals, late night work email checks, and overtraining.

Those aren’t female fertility problems. They’re human ones.

The biological differences between partners are real, but smaller than most fertility content suggests. Childbirth and postpartum on one side. Ej*******on frequency and s***m DNA integrity on the other. Everything else? Same drain. Same solution.

If you’re approaching fertility as a team, your prep should look like one too. 50% of fertility challenges involve a male factor. Most of the time, he hasn’t been properly assessed!

Curious what both your pictures look like? That’s what I’m here for 🧑‍⚕️

“Cold in the Uterus.” I know how that sounds.

But stay with me, because this TCM diagnosis predicts specific, measurable things about your cycle that Western medicine has names for too.
It just took a few centuries to catch up.

Things like:
Poor uterine blood flow
Low progesterone
A basal body temperature that never quite rises
Subclinical thyroid sluggishness
A period that begs for a heat pack

These aren’t random symptoms. They’re a pattern. And it’s one of the most common and most treatable things I see in clinic.

Swipe through if you’ve ever reached for a heat pack and wondered why it helps so much. ➡️

Your screen time could be behind your symptoms 👀

In TCM, the Liver is said to “open into the eyes”: meaning eye health and strain can reflect what’s happening in your system more broadly.

The Liver helps nourish the eyes with Blood, regulate the smooth flow of Qi, and support emotional balance. So when we’re staring at screens all day (working, scrolling, overstimulating), it can contribute to both eye strain and Liver Qi stagnation.

Think:
• dry or tired eyes
• headaches
• neck + shoulder tension
• irritability
• trouble switching off

My top 5 ways to reduce screen strain + support your Liver:
Follow the 20-20-20 rule

Every 20 mins, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
👁️ Blink more
We blink less on screens, which dries out the eyes.
👁️ Use night mode after sunset
Less blue light = better sleep and nervous system
support.
👁️ Create phone-free windows
Try 30 mins screen-free after waking + before bed.
👁️ Nourish your Liver Blood
Think leafy greens, berries, omega-3s, and enough rest.

Small shifts make a big difference. Your eyes (and your nervous system) will thank you.

Anxiety isn’t something to “push through”- which is how my patients usually talk about it.

It can be a signal from:
🫀 your (TCM) heart, liver, spleen, kidneys
🌬 your nervous system

If this helped, save it for your next anxious moment.

I love to dance! My knees do not. 🫠

For times like these (e.g. when I have forgotten my trusty knee braces), Chinese Medicine helps my body to recover.

⚡️ Electro acupuncture uses a gentle electrical current through acupuncture needles to help stimulate local circulation, calm pain signalling, and reduce stiffness through the joint. It’s a useful tool for flare-ups after overloading an already sensitive knee.

For me, health is about being realistic and making space for joy in your everyday- and sometimes that means dancing with my friends to our favourite songs OR staying in and enjoying a good book.

It’s all about balance (and what balance actually looks like for you)!
