We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Dr. Champika has successfully passed her Fellowship exams and achieved her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Since joining the Epichealth Ocean Grove team through the GP training program, Dr. Champika has brought her wealth of hospital experience, dedication, and passion for providing high-quality patient care to our community.

Last Friday, we said goodbye to Dr Ama Liyanapatabendi as she concluded her time with Epichealth.

Since joining our team as a GP Registrar, Dr Ama provided compassionate, patient-centred care and became a valued member of our clinics. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication to supporting patients from all backgrounds made a lasting impact on both our team and the community.

During her time with Epichealth, Dr Ama also achieved the significant milestone of becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) – a testament to her hard work, commitment, and excellence in general practice. We were proud to celebrate this achievement with her.

We sincerely thank Dr Ama for her dedication, warmth, and the exceptional care she provided to our patients throughout her time with us.

🚨 SCAM ALERT – Fake HotDoc Messages 🚨

We have been made aware of a scam currently targeting patients via SMS messages pretending to be from HotDoc.

These messages may claim there is an urgent issue with your account, booking, or a refund and may ask you to click a link or provide banking information.

⚠️ Please be aware:
• These messages are NOT from HotDoc.
• Do not click any links.
• Do not provide personal or banking information.
• Delete the message and report it as spam.

HotDoc has confirmed that these messages are fraudulent and that there has been no data breach from HotDoc.

How to identify a genuine HotDoc message:
✔ It will usually include your name.
✔ It will reference your clinic or doctor.
✔ It will contain appointment or booking information.
✔ Official HotDoc links only direct to hotdoc.com, hotdoc.com.au, or hotdoc.io.
✔ HotDoc emails come from .com.au or .com, .com.au, or .io.

Please remain vigilant, as scammers are increasingly impersonating trusted organisations through SMS, emails, and phone calls.

If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from HotDoc, do not interact with it. Delete it immediately and report it as spam.

If you are ever unsure whether a message relating to your appointment is genuine, please contact our clinic directly.

We’re pleased to announce that Dr Sukhdeep Baweja will be expanding his consulting services to include Epichealth Medical Clinic Portarlington from 3 July.

Dr Baweja will continue consulting at Epichealth Ocean Grove Marketplace as usual, and is now also available to support patients at Portarlington.

He is a highly experienced General Practitioner and RACGP-accredited GP Trainer and Supervisor (MD, FRACGP), with a strong focus on:

Preventative health
Chronic disease management
Children’s health
Complex and long-term medical care
