I sincerely apologise for being MIA since opening my speech therapy clinic in the Oran Park chemist warehouse. Unfortunately I was involved in a MVA incident on the 3rd of July and had to be admitted to hospital. I haven’t been able to work and I’ve been receiving treatment and rehab since then. I was also unable to access my phone or laptop during this time.

I am now back on track with my health and looking forward to returning to work once my doctors give me the go ahead.

I’m sincerely sorry if I missed an appointment with you or your child, or if I didn’t reply straight away to your phone calls or emails but please be reassured I’m following up everything I can as quickly as I can (even while in hospital). 😊😊

I hope to be back at work at the Oran Park podium by around the middle of next week. But I will keep you posted.

Why did I start my business, Talking at Tiffany's Mobile Speech Therapy?

I graduated from Sydney University with a degree in Speech Pathology in 1997. I was 20, young, inexperienced and full of enthusiasm. In September 2019 I registered the business name Talking at Tiffany’s Speech Therapy. It is a mobile service so I see children and adults at home.

When I hear a child I have been working with for over a year who previously didn’t speak at all come running to the front door saying excitedly “It’s Tiffany. It’s Tiffany”, I remember why I do what I do.

I currently have availability for home visits so if you have any questions or would like to arrange an asessment or therapy please contact me. I can see adults or children who have NDIS funding (self managed or plan managed) and private health insurance.

Do Speech Pathologists work with adults?

Yes. Although the majority of clients seen by Speech Pathologists are children we do work with adults. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes and with adults in community settings and at home.

Speech Pathologists work with adults who experience:
* Stuttering or fluency issues
* Cognitive/Communication problems (after brain injury or neurological illness) - memory, attention, organising thoughts, social communication
* Communication after illness or injury: stroke, Parkinson’s, MS, Brain Injury, Motor Neurone Disease
* Voice problems - hoarse voice, voice fatigue, loss of voice after surgery or illness
* Accent reduction
* Swallowing difficulties - trouble swallowing food or liquids safely (often with adults in a hospital or nursing home)
