**Something to look forward to... 🌿**

As winter settles in, there can be a natural pull to slow down, rest more, and spend a little extra time in our own cocoon. There’s wisdom in that.

But it's also lovely to have something nourishing waiting for you on the other side of winter.

This November, I'll be hosting a beautiful retreat, 'Cleanse & Nourish', designed for women who are ready to step away from the busyness of everyday life, reconnect with themselves, and welcome the lighter energy of spring. Think gentle yoga, nourishing food, Ayurvedic wisdom, deep rest, meaningful conversations, and plenty of space to simply be.
We'll retreat into a beutiful homestead, Bowen Mountain Retreat House, surrounded by lush gardens and nature. There will also be time for bushwalks, a pool & sauna....✨

If that sounds like exactly what you'll need after a season of hibernation, check mindfultouch.com.au/retreats

And if you'd like to begin feeling a little more grounded and supported right now, my free **3-Day Nervous System Reset** is available to help you create small moments of calm and regulation in your day with simple rituals that take just a few minutes.

Winter doesn't have to be something to get through. It can be a beautiful time to slow down, nourish yourself, and gently prepare for what's to come.

Feeling cold, tight and a little worn out?

Winter is almost here and it naturally brings more cold, dry and windy qualities into our bodies and minds. In Ayurveda, these are the qualities of Vata, and when they build up we can feel stiff, anxious, restless, tired or simply not quite ourselves.

One of my favourite ways to balance this is with warmth. ✨

A warm oil massage combined with hot stones feels like wrapping your whole nervous system in a cosy blanket. The heat gently melts away tension, improves circulation and leaves you feeling grounded, relaxed and deeply nourished.

Sometimes what we need isn't to push through — it's to warm up, slow down and let ourselves receive a little care.

If your body has been asking for some extra TLC lately, hot stone massage season is officially here!🤎🔥

In Ayurveda, many musculoskeletal discomforts — stiffness, tension, cracking joints, tight muscles, dryness, pain that moves around, feeling “ungrounded” in the body — are often viewed through the lens of Vata imbalance.

Vata carries the qualities of cold, dry, rough and mobile. When these qualities increase, the body can start reflecting them too.

So rather than only asking “What is wrong?”, Ayurveda also asks: “What qualities are present, and what would bring balance?”

This is where warm oil massage becomes so beautiful.

Warm oil brings the opposite qualities:
✨ warmth to the cold
✨ softness to the rough
✨ nourishment to the dry
✨ steadiness to the mobile

It’s one of Ayurveda’s most loved ways to calm the nervous system, support the tissues, and invite the body back into ease.

Massage doesn’t always need to be deep or painful to be effective. Gentle, mindful touch with warm oils can be profoundly grounding and therapeutic.

As the weather cools, this becomes even more important — keeping the body warm, nourished and supported through the season 🤎

**Why regular time off matters 🌿**

We weren’t designed to be constantly “on.”
Always pushing, always producing, always carrying the next thing mentally.

Without proper rest, the nervous system stays in a subtle state of stress for so long that it can start to feel normal — until we notice the signs:

* shallow breath
* tension in the body
* poor sleep
* anxiety
* overwhelm
* exhaustion that one night off doesn’t fix

Regular time away from routine isn’t a luxury. It’s part of staying well.

A few days to slow down, breathe deeply, nourish the body, move gently, rest properly, and reconnect with yourself can shift so much — mentally, emotionally, and physically.

This is a big part of why I’m creating the spring retreat in the Blue Mountains.
A space for women to soften, reset, and be deeply cared for for a little while 🤍

A little reminder that effective massage doesn’t need to be painful to “work” 🌿

So many women are carrying stress in their bodies for so long that the nervous system is already on high alert. Sometimes what the body needs most isn’t more force… but softness, warmth and space to finally let go.

Gentle remedial and therapeutic techniques can be incredibly powerful when applied mindfully and with presence. Slow, intentional touch helps the body unwind naturally, releases deep tension and calms the mind at the same time.

And when paired with warm Ayurvedic oils… even better ✨
The oils nourish the tissues, soothe the nervous system and leave you feeling grounded, softer and more connected to yourself.

You don’t need to push through pain to feel better.
Sometimes the body opens the most when it feels safe enough to relax 💛
Put a smile back on😊

There’s something deeply healing about being warmly held, slowed down, and nourished — especially in the cooler months.

In Ayurveda, warm oil massage is considered one of the most powerful ways to calm the nervous system, ground anxiety, nourish the tissues, and restore warmth to the body during autumn and winter.

So many women move through life overstimulated, rushing, giving constantly, and living mostly in their heads. Massage invites you back into your body. Back into softness. Back into feeling supported.

Warm oils, steady rhythmic touch, quiet breath, and intentional rest can help:
✨ soothe the nervous system
✨ improve circulation and lymphatic flow
✨ ease tension and fatigue
✨ support deeper sleep
✨ bring warmth and moisture back into dry, depleted bodies

This season is not asking us to do more.
It’s asking us to slow down, nourish ourselves, and honour rest.

If your body has been whispering for pause, grounding, and care — this is your reminder.

Spring 'CLEANSE & NOURISH' Retreat

EXPERIENCE (not schedule)

This isn’t about a packed schedule or doing more.

It’s about how you’ll feel while you’re there…

– Waking up without rushing
– Moving your body in a gentle, nourishing way
– Eating warm, grounding meals
– Taking time to rest without guilt
– Letting your breath deepen again
– Feeling your body soften

In Ayurveda, this kind of environment allows the nervous system to truly settle.

And from there… everything shifts.

If your hormones feel a little… all over the place lately, come back to the basics 🤍

Not in an overwhelming way — just three gentle pillars to return to:

**1. Your breath & flow**
A full, soft breath does more than relax you — it supports an “unstuck” diaphragm, helps your lymphatic system move, and signals safety to your whole body.
Slow down. Breathe into your belly. Let things move again.

**2. Nourishment that actually nourishes**
Think warm, simple, satisfying meals.
Less grazing and constant snacking, more allowing your body to properly digest and rest between meals — so it can shift from running on quick sugars to a more steady, grounded energy.

**3. Rituals & rhythm**
Your body loves rhythm.
Waking with the light, winding down early, small daily rituals (oil massage, tea, a few quiet moments) — these aren’t luxuries, they’re anchors for your hormones.

It doesn’t have to be perfect.
Just gently consistent.

Which one are you leaning into right now? 🌿
