A proud Orange local, Janet completed her schooling before embarking on a 30-year career as a Civil Engineer, enjoying work in construction and consultancy while raising a busy family.

Now embracing a new chapter with McRae Care, Janet loves the opportunity to help others.

"I am really enjoying the change of pace and the opportunity to make someone’s day just that little bit brighter."

When she’s not working, you’ll usually find Janet out on her mountain bike, playing a round of golf, or more recently enjoying a game at the Bridge Club!

Janet brings plenty of life experience, a good sense of humour and a genuine love of helping others to the McRae Care team.

Meet our youngest team member - Harriet.

McRae Care is thrilled to have the gorgeous and enthusiastic internship student, Harriet on our team.

Harriet is currently spending one day a week with McRae Care, observing our expert team members and assisting in providing compassionate, quality aged care consulting and daily support for older people in the community.

Harriet says she was drawn to work experience with Tanya and the McRae Care team after hearing about us through her grandparents.

"I heard of the great services Tanya and her team were providing through friends of my grandparents. They were so happy to be receiving such a personalised service. I wanted to learn more about how we can help older people to have a better quality of life."

Harriet is enjoying helping our clients with in-home support, social outings and even sneaking in a cheeky chai latte in between clients.

We think this could be the start of a successful career in the aged care field!

Growing up in the Rylstone and Kandos region, Ricky understands the value of community and the importance of supporting people through every stage of life - which guides his work with our team today.
