🌱 Planting is underway at the Orbost Landfill!

Our landfill rehabilitation project has reached an important milestone, with more than 3,300 native trees and shrubs now being planted across the site to establish vegetation cover and support the long-term performance of the landfill cap.

The plants were propagated and are being planted by Moogji Aboriginal Council East Gippsland Inc..

The project will contribute to the long-term rehabilitation of the site while supporting practical conservation outcomes and employment, skills development and cultural knowledge sharing.

A big thank you to the Moogji team for their work on this important project and their ongoing contribution to caring for Country across East Gippsland. 🌿
