Progress slowly from 6 weeks. Don’t assume you can go back to lifting a large double pram straight away!
Slowly increase your lifting over the second 6 weeks to return to your normal, daily life tasks (carrying baby carriers, large prams, pushing a heavy trolley, etc).
With walking: go easy especially in the early days. Little and often is a great approach. A big walk pushing a pram is a big load on your healing tummy, and you may find you need to make the walks quite small when you start out and listen carefully to your body. If you feel good, less stiff, and not more sore after it- you’ve got the right balance.
Our Physios can offer great advice and a safe plan of how you should be progressing based on your own unique experience. Call, Email or book online with one of our Physios and get your plan started. And we are very happy for you to bring your babies and a support person with you to your appointment.
