Friday 5th June 2026

Happy Friday!

Today our first group stayed back at Lilypond to enjoy a day of puzzles, games, drawing, Jewellery making and Wii. The participants in this group enjoyed socialising with their friends and practicing their teamwork and social skills.

Our second group enjoyed a day out at Retro Haven in Beaconsfield. They spent ages looking at all the unique vintage and handmade bric a brac, clothes, toys and music. Their afternoon was spent going to some op shops in the Pakenham area to continue their day of shopping.

Finally, our last group went to watch Scary Movie. They all thought it was hilarious and thrilling. After the film ended, they enjoyed lunch altogether, chatting about their movie at the food court.

Live 2 Achieve - Thursday 4th June 2026

Happy Thursday everyone, we split across 4 groups for our days activities at Live 2 Achieve.

The first group participated in a cooking program where they made a chicken risoni bake. They did a great job getting everything ready by writing a grocery list, doing the shopping, and taking turns cooking in the kitchen. They enjoyed the meal together and for a lot of the group it was their first time trying risoni, great job guys!

The second group helped Kerry at her bookshop, getting it ready and looking lovely for the market on the weekend. The group sorted the books into their genres and had some fun showing each other some funny titles while they worked.

The third group went to Ozpin for a bowling game where today's winner was Daimon! It was a close game and the group really enjoyed it. They went to Fountain Gate for lunch and a short walk around the shops before finishing their day at Lakeside.

The final group had their gym class at Cardinia Life with John. It was great to have a PT show us some equipment we might not usually use at the gym. Everyone did a great job exercising for an hour together and being so supportive of each other as well!

Live 2 Achieve - Wednesday 3rd June 2026

Mid-week already at Live 2 Achieve and what a great day it was splitting across 5 groups for our day's activities.

The first group did an art program at Lilypond where they finished off their trinket trays that they molded last week and got to paint today! What a great multi-step project that really gives you a sense of completion. There was also some time for some free art before the group watched Mrs. Doubtfire in the afternoon.

The second group did their volunteering at the Narre Warren op-shops! They helped by sorting through donations, pricing items and finished off the last of the swap over to winter stock. Great job today team!

The third group also did some volunteering at Gembrook Wildlife Sanctuary. Their jobs today included feeding the animals, preparing their food for the next day, and cleaning their enclosures. Our group has been doing this for so long all the tasks are like second nature.

The fourth group headed to Fountain Gate where they visited Time Zone and got to play a bunch of different arcade games. It was lots of fun followed by a walk around the shops and lunch in the food court. The group had a very enjoyable day and spent the afternoon keeping warm at Lakeside playing some games.

The final group attended their hydrotherapy session at Casey ARC with the Little Warriors Physios today. They had a fantastic time strengthening their muscles and working on their physical goals, all while enjoying fun games and activities in the pool. After their session, the group met up with the others at Fountain Gate for lunch, where everyone enjoyed catching up and chatting about their week together. It was a great way to finish off the day!

Live 2 Achieve - Tuesday 2nd June 2026

Welcome back for another day at Live 2 Achieve, today we split across 3 groups for our activities! A very happy birthday to Tyson and Imogen who we got to celebrate today 🥳

The first group continued their studies in their Certificate I in Work Education. This week they made invitations to their graduation which will be help on 7th July, so close, the course has flown by. They also cut out some custom board games to work on math skills and played them in the afternoon after doing some work on their micro small businesses.

The second group participated in an art program at Lakeside where they made butterflies amongst some flowers. They turned out beautiful and they will be a very nice piece to put on their bedroom wall or on the fridge for some Spring vibes during Winter!

The final group headed to Reading Cinemas where they watched the new Star Wars: Mandalorian & Grogu! Despite Baby Yoda being completely adorable in this film it followed the pair in their evolving father-son relationship as they go on missions on their journey to reach the New Republic.

In the afternoon then groups came together to celebrate the birthdays and share some treats 🎉

Live 2 Achieve - Monday 1st June 2026

Happy first day of Winter everyone, today we split across 4 groups for our days activities at Live 2 Achieve!

The first group took the train into the city where they visited the Cashmere Cat Cafe. It was a very lovely place with so many cute cats that came by to hang out with us. The group got to enjoy a nice warm beverage which made it the perfect activity for the start of Winter.

The second group headed to Ozpin for their weekly bowling session. Congratulations to Donnie, who scored 131 pins, and Sarah B, who scored 120 pins, making them the winners of their respective lanes. It was a fantastic effort from everyone, with many participants scoring over 100 pins today. Well done, team!

The third group participated in a cooking program at Lilypond where they made a chicken & rice bake. They wrote out their ingredients before doing the shop at Woolies. The group then cooked up a storm together in the kitchen before sharing the meal for lunch. It was very delicious and the group rated it quite highly.

The final group continued their volunteering at Locky’s Wildlife Sanctuary today. They completed their regular tasks, including cleaning enclosures, feeding the animals, and preparing food for their care.

Live 2 Achieve - Friday 29th May 2026

Happy Friday everyone! We had such a great day at Live 2 Achieve splitting across 4 groups for our days activities.

The first group visited Channel 9 in the city where they got to go on a tour of their HQ. It was a very unique and exciting adventure for our group who also got to have a go reading like news presenters.

The second group spent the day at Lilypond doing some baking, games and art. It was lovely having everyone in the one space chatting and enjoying each others company. The group ended the day by celebrating Shaylas belated birthday.

The third group had a day of doing their OT groups with Aleysha. There was a lot of work on memory and fine motor skills in today's sessions. They also worked on their PTV app skills in finding their way to a nearby restaurant.

The final group headed out to Moorabbin for Go Karts. They had a blast learning to drive them then racing each other on the track!

Live 2 Achieve - Thursday 28th May 2026

Happy Thursday everyone, we had a splendid day at Live 2 Achieve splitting across 4 groups for our days activities.

The first group did their volunteering at Kerry's bookshop at the Akoonah Park Market where they got the shop ready for the weekend. They did an amazing job helping sort books into their correct sections with the most popular books visible for purchase. Great job volunteering today team.

The second group took part in their cooking program at Lilypond, where they made spaghetti bolognese together. Participants took turns in the kitchen preparing and cooking the meal before sitting down to enjoy it together. In the afternoon, the group had fun participating in arts, crafts, and games.

The third group attended their Move & Stretch class at Cardinia Life with Mel. It was a fantastic session that encouraged everyone to get moving, stay active, and participate in some physical exercise. In the afternoon, the group enjoyed a more relaxed time playing games and listening to music together.

The fourth group went bowling at Ozpin where todays winner was Donnie, congratulations! The group then headed over to Fountain Gate for lunch where they chatted about their Friday plans and had a short walk around the shops.

Live 2 Achieve - Wednesday 27th May 2026

Happy mid week everyone! Today we split across 5 groups for our days activities.

The first group participated in a cooking program where they made spaghetti bolognese together. It is an absolute favourite among many households and our program is no different. The group each helped cook the meal before enjoying it together.

The second group took part in their art program at Lilypond, where they created beautiful paper flowers. Each participant chose a unique flower design, and the finished creations turned out wonderfully and are ready to be proudly displayed. In the afternoon, they joined the other Lilypond groups for a fun little disco together.

The third group did their volunteering at Gembrook wildlife where they continued supporting the animals. Today's duties were cleaning and feeding the animals.

The fourth group also spent the day volunteering at the Narre Warren op shops. Their help is always greatly appreciated, especially as the store transitions into its winter collection and manages an increase in donations. The group worked hard assisting with sorting, organising, and keeping the shop running smoothly.

The final group went on a journey to the city! They used the PTV app to plan a journey to the NGV while checking out the new metro tunnel. They had lunch at Flinders Street before heading back to Lakeside
