One year of SANVT. Psychology. 🌿

On 13 October 2025, SANVT. Psychology opened its doors in Palm Beach, on the beautiful Gold Coast.

And what a year it's been! 🥹

A year of learning, growth, unexpected challenges, exciting opportunities and more than a few twists and turns along the way.

Building something of my own has been equal parts rewarding, challenging and, at times, a little chaotic. But looking back, I'm proud of how far things have come, even if there's still so much more I hope to do.

What makes this milestone especially meaningful is the work at the heart of it all. The opportunity to support people through difficult periods, explore complex questions together, and offer a space where their experiences can be understood with care, curiosity and without judgement.

I'm grateful for the trust placed in my work, the colleagues and professional connections who've been part of this first year, and the opportunities to keep learning and developing as a clinician.

Here's to another year of thoughtful psychological care, meaningful connections and making psychology a little more accessible, both within and beyond the therapy room.

Thank you to everyone who's been part of this first chapter. ❤️

Here’s to taking the break when we need one, finding moments of stillness, and coming back slowly.

And I’m back. 🤍

After a few beautiful weeks away, I’ve been back in the clinic for a little over a week now, slowly finding my rhythm again.

There is something to be said for properly stepping away from work every now and then. Not because a break magically fixes everything, or because we should return perfectly “recharged”, but because sometimes we need enough distance from our usual routines to remember that rest, play, curiosity, and doing things simply because we enjoy them are important too.

I came home with plenty of memories, a slightly ridiculous number of photos, and quite a few new things brewing in the background for SANVT. Psychology.

For now, though, it’s lovely to be back with my clients and back in the work I care so deeply about.

SANVT. Psychology is open and currently accepting new referrals for psychological therapy and assessment in Palm Beach (Gold Coast, Australia) and online via Telehealth.

And a small practical note:
I'm still working my way through the post-holiday inbox and catching up on a few things behind the scenes, so responses may be a little slower than usual over the next week or so. Thank you for your patience.

🤍

Time for a break. 🤎

We spend a lot of time talking about rest, balance, boundaries, slowing down, and noticing when we need a bit more space for ourselves or our loved ones.

Sometimes looking after what matters means being willing to put everything else down for a little while. Actually doing it can be the harder part.

As I come to a pause and reflect on the days, weeks, and months behind me, and with SANVT. slowly approaching its first-year milestone, I am astounded by how much it took to get here. (And yet somehow I still haven’t properly introduced myself on here, something that is well overdue!)

So, my lovely followers, for the next few weeks, SANVT. will be closed while I’m overseas taking some much-needed time away from the daily grind.

A change of scenery, spending quality time with loved ones, celebrating some very special people, and hopefully plenty of moments where there is absolutely nothing that needs to be done.

I’m looking forward to soaking up the next few weeks, recharging the batteries, and coming back in full swing in September, ready for all the exciting things I’ve been quietly working on behind the scenes and everything still to come at SANVT. ✨️

Before you keep scrolling:
If this found you at the right moment, take one slow breath.

The body notices what the mind overlooks. A single slow breath can be enough to interrupt the cycle.

Happy Sunday 🧡

SANVT. Psychology - the name. SANVT is pronounced “zahnft”. It is a deliberate misspelling of the German word 'sanft', meaning soft, gentle, tender - attuned.

Not fragile. Not broken. Soft in the way water is soft, and yet still capable of moving mountains.

The name is the practice’s ethos and compass.

If this season feels joyful, heavy, complicated, or something in between, you’re not alone in that.
This year has held challenge, growth, courage, and change for many of us - often all at once.

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to acknowledge everyone who has been part of this space. That includes the colleagues, friends, and thoughtful strangers who may have stumbled upon SANVT. and chosen to follow along - and, in particular, my dear clients:

Witnessing your pain, resilience and determination for growth is both a privilege and inspiring!

Thank you for your trust, openness, and courage 🙏

Wishing you a gentle and restorative holiday period,
Dr Nat | SANVT. Psychology
