MEN NEED MEN. 💙
Too often, men are expected to just “be strong,” “get on with it,” and keep everything inside.
But being strong doesn’t mean doing everything alone.
Men carry grief.
Men experience trauma.
Men struggle with relationships, family pressures, work, money, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, loneliness and loss.
And sometimes, men simply need another man to sit beside them and say:
“Brother, I hear you. You’re not alone.”
That’s why men’s groups matter.
The Waterlily Men’s Support Group is about creating a safe, respectful and welcoming space where men can come together, have a yarn, share a meal, build friendships and support one another.
You don’t have to come with a problem.
You don’t have to tell your whole story.
You don’t have to speak if you’re not ready.
Sometimes just turning up and being around good men is the beginning.
Our men’s group is about connection, culture, respect, mentoring, wellbeing and building stronger men, stronger families and stronger communities.
We want men to know that asking for support is not weakness.
Reaching out takes courage. Showing up takes strength. Supporting another man can change a life.
Whether you’re going through a hard time, feeling isolated, wanting to make positive changes, looking for connection, or simply wanting to sit down and have a yarn with other men — there is a place for you at Waterlily.
