Extending a warm welcome to obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Siming Lu from Obstetrics & Gynaecology Consulting Group, who is now practising here at Frances Perry House!

Known for her calm, warm and approachable nature, Dr Lu is passionate about empowering women to feel confident in their healthcare decisions. She strives to create a caring and collaborative environment where every patient feels heard, reassured and well supported.

Dr Lu cares for both low and high-risk pregnancies, with special interests including high-risk pregnancies, pregnancy after previous loss, multiple pregnancies, TOLAC (Trial of Labour After Caesarean), IVF and assisted fertility pregnancies, surrogacy pregnancies, LGBTQIA+ inclusive care and Chinese-speaking obstetric care.

Originally from China, Dr Lu has proudly called Melbourne home for many years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

For the past 10 years, Emma has been supporting women and families as a dedicated midwife.

If you've welcomed your little one with us overnight, there's a good chance you've been greeted by Emma - a much-loved member of our night shift team, whose warm smile and reassuring nature help create a sense of confidence when it's needed most.

Whether you're planning a spontaneous, medicated or unmedicated birth, Emma is there to support your choices without judgement, bringing a steady, positive energy to every birth experience. She believes every family deserves to feel heard, empowered and cared for.

Her advice for new parents? "Take it hour by hour. There's no need to have it all figured out. Arm yourself with as much education as you can, trust yourself, and know we'll be there to hold your hand every step of the way."
