INTRODUCING EVERYBUB MOVE & PLAY!

We’re so excited to introduce our baby development program at EveryKid! 💛

Designed for pre-sitters and pre-crawlers (generally around 4–10 months), this 6 week physiotherapy led group helps you explore your baby’s development through movement, play and practical strategies you can try at home.

From tummy time and rolling to sitting, reaching and getting ready to crawl, we’ll help you build confidence in supporting your little one’s next milestones!

Led by our Senior Physiotherapist Dalena and Senior Occupational Therapist Zoe, sessions are kept small, with just 8 babies per group, so there’s plenty of opportunity to learn and ask questions.

📅 Starting Tuesday 27 October
⏰ Tuesdays, 9:00-9:50am

Save this activity | Reaction Time Activity ⚡️

Start in a four-point kneel position with four coloured cones. Roll a ball towards the player, then quickly identify the matching coloured cone and trap the ball!

Progress this activity by moving into a full plank and repeating the same challenge 💪🏼

This activity works on reaction time, visual processing, hand-eye coordination, core strength and motor planning.

Save this activity | Bungee Colour Sort 🌈

This activity combines movement, visual vestibular processing and cognitive skills. Using a bungee, collect coloured balls and sort them into their corresponding buckets.

Progress this activity by giving a sequence to remember, like “blue, then purple”!

This encourages visual processing while moving, following instructions, remembering a sequence and coordinating movement to complete the task.

Save This Activity | Activity Swaps For Kids (Part 2) 🦓

Here are some simple ways to increase engagement and participation when targeting ADLs:

• Letter formation → use shaving foam on the floor (or swap for sand/paint for a different sensory input)
• Zipper practice → place animals (or small toys) inside a zip pouch to “rescue”
• Sock practice → hide a ball (or toy) inside a sock and retrieve it
• Opening food packets → pull apart Squigz and build a tower

These small swaps can turn everyday tasks into something more fun and motivating, supporting participation without it feeling like “practice”.

Save This Activity | Scooterboard Rope Pull ✨

This simple setup is a fun, engaging way to build:- Core strength- Upper body strength- Bilateral coordination (using both sides of the body together)

✨ To progress the activity:Add pegs onto the rope for your child to remove as they move, incorporating fine motor skills and increased motor planning.

✨ Level it up again:Use coloured pegs and give instructions like “only collect the pink pegs” to challenge attention, processing, and following directions.

Our EveryKid OTs help support the development of strength, coordination, and motor planning through personalised, play-based therapy.
