Had my BMW 330i 2021 model serviced at Parramatta BMW on Sep 11th and an hour out the door the steering wheel is out of control and chassis sending error message. Carefully and with loads of horror drove the car to home garage and Contacted the Parammatta BMW Service. The first response was reluctance to accept there’s anything wrong! Second response was bring it back for a check! When told them car is not driveable they wanted me to find a tow company at my own cost and take the car to them!!! Reached to BMW Australia and they apologised and promised to fix it, reached them again after a week, same promise but no real action!
It’s a business car and we rely on it for our everyday business.

BMW seem to have no care for other businesses.

I’m very disappointed with BMW Australia and BMW customer service in general. I have 3 other cars, Private and business and never had such poor service.
Feel like no more BMW from this point on.

First Medtronic Closed Loop Spinal Cord Stimulator in the world was implanted by the Director of Sydney Pain Research team Dr Vahid Mohabbati in April as part of a clinical trial.

A prospective study will evaluate the long-term performance of a closed-loop algorithm with Medtronic’s investigative rechargeable neurostimulator.

Celebrity Pain Update - Spine George Clooney

An accident on a movie set caused a devastating spinal injury for George Clooney in 2005, after he tore his Dura Mater during a fight scene. The Dura Mater is the wrap around the spine that holds in the spinal fluid.
The actor experienced debilitating pain, severe depression and had several spinal surgeries afterwards.

“Spinal injuries can be absolutely devastating,” agrees Dr Vahid Mohabbati, from Sydney Pain Management Centre.
“About 46% of spinal cord injuries are due to land transport vehicle accidents according to Spinal Cord Injuries Australia. Another 36% are due to falls, (such as fall from stairs, ladder or chair).
The good news neuromodulation is increasingly helping these patients,” he says.

Similar to the way a cardiac pacemaker corrects abnormal heartbeats, neuromodulation helps re-establish normal function of the nervous system using spinal cord stimulation (SCS).
“This involves a wire attached to a small generator device being surgically implanted under the skin in the back or buttock. The device, operated by a hand-held remote, then delivers low-voltage electrical impulses to the spine, which are sent to the brain.
In the past, SCS was only able to generate a tonic stimulation that caused gentle buzzing or tingling.

However, the new waveforms such as High Frequency or Burst stimulation will not cause such sensations. They have proved to be far more effective and are more acceptable by patients. Neuromodulation is revolutionising the way we manage chronic pain.”
