Strength doesn’t always mean pushing through.

Sometimes, the strongest thing we can do is give ourselves permission to slow down, acknowledge what we’re feeling, and create the space we need to heal.

Healing isn’t always linear, and beginning again doesn’t mean starting from scratch. Every experience, setback and moment of growth becomes part of the journey forward.

✨ Give yourself the same patience, kindness and compassion you would give to someone you care about.

Physical intimacy doesn’t always have to lead to s*x.

Touch can be about comfort, affection, closeness, reassurance and connection without needing to become s*xual.

Holding hands, cuddling, kissing, hugging or simply being physically close can all be meaningful forms of intimacy in their own right.

Removing the expectation that physical affection must lead somewhere can sometimes make intimacy feel safer, more relaxed and more connected.

Intimacy is not a checklist, and s*x does not have to be the end goal.

💜🖤🤍 As*xual Awareness Week 🤍🩶🖤💜

As*xuality is a valid and diverse s*xual orientation. As*xual people may experience little or no s*xual attraction, and everyone’s experience of intimacy, relationships and connection can look different.

This week is an opportunity to increase visibility, challenge misconceptions and create space for as*xual voices and experiences. There is no “right” way to experience attraction, love or intimacy.

✨ Awareness creates understanding. Understanding creates inclusion.

Men’s s*xual health is about more than erections.

Sexual wellbeing can include desire, pleasure, confidence, communication, relationships, body image, mental health and feeling comfortable asking for support.

Focusing only on erectile function can overlook the wider factors that shape s*xual experiences and wellbeing.

A more holistic approach to men’s s*xual health means looking beyond performance and creating space for honest conversations about the whole person.

Disabled people shouldn’t be excluded from s*xuality.

People with disability have the same right to intimacy, relationships, pleasure, s*xual expression and access to s*xual health information as anyone else.

Too often, disability is treated as though it removes s*xuality altogether. These assumptions can lead to people being left out of conversations about consent, relationships, s*xual health and pleasure.

Inclusive s*xual health care means recognising disabled people as s*xual beings, listening to individual needs and removing barriers to information, support and accessible services.

Sexuality is part of being human, and disability does not change that.

💙 Why choose social work as a profession?

For Gabby, social work is about more than choosing a career — it’s about choosing a profession where you can advocate, empower and create meaningful change in people’s lives.

Social workers have the opportunity to work alongside individuals, families and communities, challenge inequality and help people navigate some of life’s most difficult moments.

🎓 Every social worker has their own reason for choosing this path.

💭 What made you choose social work?

Disability doesn’t define a person’s potential, relationships, s*xuality, or strength. 💙

Every person experiences the world differently, and those differences deserve to be recognised, respected and celebrated.

Creating a more inclusive world starts with challenging assumptions, listening to lived experiences, and seeing the whole person — not just their disability.

♿ Different experiences. Different strengths. Equal worth.

P**n isn’t s*x education — it’s entertainment. 💬

P**n can shape expectations around bodies, pleasure, performance, consent and what s*x is “supposed” to look like, but it doesn’t always reflect the reality of healthy s*xual experiences.

Good s*x education goes further. It includes communication, consent, boundaries, relationships, pleasure, s*xual health, diversity and understanding your own wants and needs.

P**n may be part of someone’s s*xuality, but it shouldn’t have to fill the gaps left by a lack of comprehensive s*x education.
