Incredible morning attending a painting event in Lakes Entrance hosted by the amazing Bohdi Taylor Artist providing an opportunity for connection and mindful self-care. The event was in support of The Still Here Project , founded by Tim and Shane, a registered not-for-profit charity based in East Gippsland dedicated to offering essential support to those affected by su***de and/or navigating difficult times, provide friendship circles, bereavement groups, and non-judgmental spaces for conversation. They can help also guide you to correct services for those seeking/needing professional help.
I am passionate about Mental Health and allowing yourself time for YOU! Art is my happy place and was so excited to be succesful in obtaining a ticket to this event.
The event was full of wonderful people, a calming space to paint, chat and forget our worries and Lakes Entrance really supplied Amazing weather and the view whilst painting was devine! What a morning !

It has been a long time since i posted due to changing my career and supporting my daughter who has special needs. Sometimes we forgot how to slow down and care about ourselves and i found myself working and having no time for me, supporting my well-being and do what i love which is Arts and crafts. I have 2 daughters and one of my daughters has high special needs and put alot of myself into ensuring my family are living their bests lives, i am an educational support worker at a specialist school, co-ordinator for Auskick in Paynesville and completing my Batchelor of Secondary Education specialising in Special ED so i sometimes forget that i need to stop and take care of myself too so my husband and i purchased a van and renovating it to create my dream Art studio and a space to create my Art and provide time to recharge, re focus and remember to breathe
