Well we all know our lovely Jasper communicates all his feelings often 😝

Did you know? Just like humans, horses communicate a lot through their facial expressions.

Research has shown that horses display different facial cues depending on how they are feeling.

A relaxed horse may have soft eyes, relaxed nostrils, and ears gently forward, while a horse experiencing stress, fear, frustration, or discomfort may show tension around the eyes and mouth, widened eyes, or pinned ears.

Understanding these subtle changes helps us recognise how a horse is feeling, improve welfare and handling practices, build stronger human-animal relationships and enhance safety for both horses and people

Learning to read equine body language and facial expressions is an important part of ensuring positive experiences for everyone involved.

Every face tells a story—are we paying attention?

Some souls never need words to tell you how they feel. 🐴❤️
One look into a horse’s eyes can reveal trust, loyalty, pain, love, and understanding all at once.

Do you believe horses can read human emotions? 👀✨

Being around highly critical people can be exhausting.

Not because you're weak.
Not because you're "too sensitive."
But because constant criticism has a way of making us question ourselves.

Over time, you can find yourself second-guessing every decision.
Overthinking every word.
Wondering whether you're doing enough, being enough, or getting it right.

The tricky thing is that criticism isn't always loud.

Sometimes it's the sigh.
The raised eyebrow.
The "helpful" comment.
The joke that's not really a joke.

And if you've spent enough time around it, you can start carrying that critical voice around with you, even when the other person isn't there.

Suddenly you're criticising yourself before anyone else gets the chance.

The antidote isn't becoming tougher.

It's learning to recognise what belongs to you and what doesn't.

Not every opinion deserves a seat at your table.
Not every criticism deserves your attention.
Not every person's standards need to become your standards.

Horses are brilliant teachers of this.

They don't spend their day worrying whether everyone approves of them.
They don't alter themselves to please every person they meet.
They simply are.

Perhaps that's the invitation today.

Notice whose voice is living rent-free in your head.

Then gently ask yourself:

"Is this actually true?"
"Is this helpful?"
"Would I speak to someone I love this way?"

Because sometimes the most healing thing we can do is stop viewing ourselves through the eyes of our critics and start seeing ourselves through our own.

🐴❤️The people around you will influence the relationship you have with yourself. Choose carefully where possible. 💕

BELIEVING IN YOURSELF DOESN’T MEAN YOU’LL NEVER FAIL.

Every great horse has stumbled.
Every great rider has missed a cue.
Every successful person has faced setbacks, disappointment, and days when they questioned everything.

Confidence isn’t thinking you’ll get it right every time.

It’s trusting yourself enough to keep going when you don’t.

The people who achieve their dreams aren’t the ones who never fail.
They’re the ones who refuse to let failure have the final say.

Fall down.
Learn the lesson.
Adjust the plan.
Then get back in the saddle and keep moving forward.

Your success isn’t determined by how many times you fail.
It’s determined by how many times you get back up. 🤍
