👀What actually happens during a visual field test?👀

If you’ve had an HVF (Humphrey Visual Field) test with us, you’ll know the drill — staring at a dot, clicking a button every time you spot a flash of light. But do you know why we do it?

This test maps your entire field of vision, including the parts you can’t consciously see moving out of the corner of your eye. It’s one of the most important tools we use for detecting and monitoring conditions like glaucoma — often picking up changes well before you’d notice anything yourself.

The best part? It’s quick, painless, and doesn’t involve any drops or discomfort. Just you, a dome of light, and a clicker.

Behind the scenes today 📸✨ We had the team from Mivision magazine in with us as Dr Banerjee walked them through our ThermaEye Plus IPL treatment in action.

It’s always a great reminder of why we love what we do — seeing this technology up close, and getting to talk through how it’s helping our patients manage dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction with real, lasting results.

What actually happens on injection day? 👁️ We took you behind the scenes.

Before the injection itself, there’s a lot going on to keep you safe and comfortable:

✅ A vision check
✅ Widefield retinal imaging, so your specialist can see exactly what’s happening at the back of your eye
✅ A review with your doctor
✅ Careful prep with antiseptic and anaesthetic drops, so the injection itself is as quick and comfortable as possible

Intravitreal injections are one of the most effective treatments we have for conditions like macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and retinal vein occlusion — for many patients, they’re what stands between losing vision and keeping it.
