As World Breastfeeding Week comes to a close, I’d like to do a shoutout to my fellow badass breastfeeders 🤱🏻
Breastfeeding isn’t always easy, and it’s much more challenging for some than others, but we stick with it for as long as it works for us and our families. Whether that’s weeks, months, or years, it’s worth celebrating ✨
Breastfeeding comes with challenges that many have no idea about, such as tongue and lip ties, pressure from family to wean before we’re ready, difficulty pumping in the workplace, bottle refusal, judgement from others, mastitis, low supply, over supply, and many more.
If these challenges caused you to stop breastfeeding before you wanted to, it’s okay! Your journey is still worth celebrating 💖
