I recently attended a 2 day workshop on gut directed hypnotherapy with .

The tools the guidance and the practical experience were outstanding, really highlighting the emotional connection between body and brain.

Georgina has the experience of working at The Alfred hospital using gut directed hypnotherapy with great success.

This is one of the few hospitals in Australia to integrate hypnotherapy into the multidisciplinary care model.

If more hospitals embraced this approach with mind-body therapies, just imagine how transformative it would be for patients.

When we address the mind-body connection, deep healing becomes possible.

Do you struggle with finding balance?

Do you feel exhausted overwhelmed or burnt out?

Take a look at your day, your thoughts, your beliefs, your actions.

Are you doing everything for everyone else and nothing for yourself?

Are you pushing too hard at work, on a project, on a new health regime?

Take a moment to check in with yourself, look at your core beliefs.

What is driving your choices?

Is it an old value that things need to be a certain way, or have to be done at a certain time?

Sometimes in trying so hard to do the right thing, live the right way, we can lose the moment and life can pass us by.

Balance isn't about perfection, it's about letting go when we need to.

That's when life stops feeling like work and starts feeling like living 😍.

I hear this frequently from younger people.

What have I done? Look at where my friends are- they have this car, that apartment, the job they always wanted.

The truth - we all move at different times, in different directions.

One isn't better than the other.

You don't need to have your whole life figured out now, and in fact how could you?

We can't predict the future....

Your path doesn't have to be the same as anyone else's!

Allow events to unfold, leaving room for creativity, for diversions, for those things you never saw coming.

Accept today just as it is.

Have trust in yourself, without comparing.

The full picture doesn't need to be seen straight away, it will emerge over time.

As kids we stumbled through everything, learning to walk, falling down, holding a pen, riding a bike, everything was awkward! 🙃

But we didn't give up.

So what changed? 🤔

We understood something back then that we've forgotton as adults.

Discomfort in change is temporary, but the skill is permanent 👏

I've seen many client's who want to make changes- break a habit or start a new project.

Somewhere along the way we learnt avoidance of anything uncomfortable.

Is it just too hard in the moment and we can't see the greater picture? Is it fear of of not getting it right? of being judged maybe? of missing out on a comfort in the moment?

The discomfort you're avoiding isn't a sign to stop, it's a sign of change, of building confidence and trust in yourself.

It's a sign that you will reap the rewards later, in the future....

The discomfort right now is a sign you are winning, achieving, succeeding!

It's your number 1 sign of progress 🥳

When a client shows up ready to do the work and truly SEE themselves, they realise the truth.

They already have everything they need, it's just learning to tap into that.

My role is to guide them to their own power, their unique inner resources.

Once the mind goes quiet, the old chatter softens, the clarity comes through.

I love those transformative moments - the lightbulb, the "aha", the breakthroughs...

I met someone this week who was literally frustrated about being frustrated!

So here's the deal with Clinical Hypnotherapy.

We are not here to stamp out all your traits or change your personality, we're here to rearrange them.

So here's what we discovered.

School didn't work for him. Traditional learning felt impossible. But the frustration drove him to;

✨️Build a successful career
✨️Learn to communicate in HIS own way
✨️Develop a 6th sense for business
✨️Create systems and strategies that work with his strengths.

That trait you don't like may be the very thing that got you to where you are today.

Instead of fighting against those parts of yourself, how about learning to use them differently, bring them into balance.

Which one do you go to?

I arrived at work this week to find maintenance happening right outside my room 🫣.

How am I going to work this one out was my first thought!

Too late to cancel clients so I did what we do as hypnotherapists.

I utilised the environment and it turned out that the annoying noise became a valuable teaching tool 🥳

Remember we don't get to control the outer world but we do get to control how we respond.

The result was amazing- not one client was affected by the noise.

Suggestions during trance such as"you get to choose where you place your focus regardless of the outside distraction" left the client's more confident in their own ability to to redirect their attention.

Our minds are incredibly creative when we switch off the internal alarm.

Next time life throws you a curveball ask yourself.

What can I do?

What's the opportunity here?

How can I use this situation to my best advantage?

Learn where to put your energy and where not to.

Those uncomfortable moments can have your mind working overtime creating quite a story!

So is the feeling the problem?

Consider this - someone who is socially anxious might reflect on one conversation wondering why on earth they said what they said, concluding no one is ever going to ask me to anything ever again.

Or if they are struggling with a phobia the story will aim to predict and elaborate on what's going to happen in the future...

When you find yourself focused on a feeling check out your own story, the words you are adding to it.

What's real what's made up?

Then discover the art of letting go.

Take the words away and just see what happens to the feeling.. enjoy the peace as your mind goes quiet..

The more you practise the easier it gets.

This is how I describe hyonotherapy to my clients.

I'm not changing you, only you have the power to do that, and that's exactly how it's meant to be.

You have all the resource you need to become "unstuck", when the mind is relaxed and the fear fades into the background.

It's more about " letting go" of old ideas, old beliefs and habits rather than gaining anything new.

When you release an idea of yourself you can discover all of what you can be and find true freedom.

That flight becomes easy to board...

That new idea can be created without fear...

That presentation can be delivered with comfort and ease....

YOU get to experience life in a very different way as fear gives way to excitement, looking at all of what you can do not all you can't.
