From 1 October 2026, businesses can no longer pass on card payment surcharges to customers.

While we’re happy to see this change for clients, the cost of processing card payments doesn’t disappear. It becomes another expense for small businesses like ours.

The good news is, we’re not increasing our treatment prices.

We’ll be absorbing the cost rather than passing it on to you.

If you’re able to support us by choosing cash, bank transfer or PayID, we’d really appreciate it.

These payment methods help us keep more of your treatment fee within the business and support our team.

Of course, we completely understand that card is often the easiest option, and there’s absolutely no problem if that’s how you prefer to pay.

It’s a small choice, but for a small local business, it genuinely makes a difference.

Almost a year of a frozen shoulder… and look at the difference.

This client had been dealing with a frozen right shoulder and bursitis for almost a year.

She was struggling with everyday things reaching overhead, getting dressed, and, most importantly, sleeping comfortably.

The photo above is her 2nd appointment.

At her first appointment, she could only lift her arm about 45° out to the side.

After that first treatment, we saw a small improvement of around 5%.

Fast forward to her second appointment… 👀

There’s already noticeably more movement.

She’s thrilled with the extra range she’s getting, especially considering this is only her second session.

And there’s something important to mention:

I didn't just treat the shoulder.

I used remedial massage techniques alongside SOMETHING ELSE that I've been incorporating into treatment plans for the past 7 months.

The results I've been seeing have been really interesting.

A Morning of Stillness at Twisting Peacock Yoga

Some mornings just hit differently, and today was one of them.

I walked into Twisting Peacock for a yin yoga class not really knowing what to expect, and I walked out feeling like a completely different person. The class was led by Mel, the instructor and owner, and honestly phenomenal doesn't even begin to cover it.

Yin yoga is slow. It asks you to sit in stillness, hold a pose, and just breathe through whatever comes up. That kind of practice can feel intimidating, but Mel made it feel safe and grounded from the very first minute. She has this calm, steady presence that fills the whole room. I came in carrying a lot of noise in my head, and somewhere between the long holds and her quiet guidance, that noise just... settled.

It's rare to find an instructor who can hold space like that... not pushing, not rushing, just gently guiding you back to your breath and your body. Mel clearly knows this practice deeply, and it shows in how present she is with every student in the room.

If you're looking for a class that meets you exactly where you are and leaves you feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to yourself, I cannot recommend Twisting Peacock and Mel enough. This is the kind of class you leave thinking about for the rest of the day.

🚨 STOP IGNORING YOUR PAIN.

You know the feeling.

Your neck is tight.
Your shoulders are sitting somewhere around your ears.
You’re tossing and turning at night trying to get comfortable.

Then the headaches start.

And somehow you’re just… putting up with it.

This was exactly what happened to one of my clients.

She hadn’t had a massage in over a year.

Her neck was killing her.
Her sleep was suffering.
And she was starting to get some seriously nasty headaches.

Sound familiar?

Here’s the thing…

You don’t have to wait until the pain becomes unbearable.

That “little” niggle you keep ignoring?
It can build.

Hours at a desk.
Poor posture.
Stress.
Training.
Repetitive movements.
Sleeping awkwardly.

It all adds up.

A remedial massage can help address the muscles and soft tissues contributing to tension and restricted movement.

But massage shouldn’t just be about making you feel good for an hour.

The goal is to help you move better.
Reduce muscle tension.
Improve mobility.
And actually address what’s contributing to the problem.

Because constantly popping painkillers, stretching for five minutes and hoping it disappears isn’t exactly a strategy.

Your body is giving you information.

Listen to it.

Apparently, when you take good care of your clients… they take care of you too! 🧁💙

One of our lovely clients surprised us with these delicious cupcakes, and while we’re definitely not complaining about the treats, it’s the reason behind them that means the most.

A Little Reminder ❤️

Received this cute little card from one of my therapists, and honestly, it meant more than they probably realise. 🥹

Being an employer isn’t always easy, and I know I don’t get everything right. But knowing that my therapists feel appreciated, supported and valued reminds me that I’m on the right track.

Building a team where people feel respected, safe to expand in and genuinely enjoy coming to work has always been important to me. Little moments like this make all the hard work worth it.
