When we ask “how are you going”, we want the long version.
How are you sleeping?
Are you eating enough?
Have you seen sunlight today?
Does your body feel like yours again yet?
Are you coping with the noise, the feeds, the broken sleep, everyone needing you?
Those early weeks aren’t just about a new baby finding their feet. A whole family is adjusting.
Your nervous system is adapting to less sleep, more vigilance, huge hormonal shifts, physical recovery and a completely new rhythm of life.
So here is our little reminder to you: Eat often, go outside, accept the help, lower the expectations and don’t underestimate the power of rest and connection.
And when someone asks how you’re going?
Give them the long version. 🧡
