It's almost Christmas travel season 🎄which can be a very stressful time 😩. But Perth Pharmacy has some tips for you for getting your medications ready for travel.

It's important to check individual country's rules if you are travelling overseas as some medications that are legal over the counter and prescription in Australia may not be legal or have restrictions in other countries.

While you need to carry enough medication for your travels, there may be restrictions on medication quantities in other countries so only carry reasonable quantities for personal use.

Always carry either a GP letter, prescription copies or original medication packaging with your personal identifiers to document your medication requirements if required to declare.

You may need large quantities of medications but the PBS dispensing regulations still apply. So you can access large quantities of medication and not have your concession or entitlement affected discuss getting a regulation 49 prescription for your medications with your GP atleast 4 weeks before your expected travel. Also discuss supply of these medications with your pharmacist in advance to check for medication supply issues.

From Monday the 19th of October we will be opening at 8.30am Monday to Friday. ☀️

We need ongoing support for our community as increased hours can only work with increased use.
