I’d add that because it makes the recommendation feel much more personal and credible:

Pain always seems to hit at the WORST time…

On a plane, a long drive, working away at the mines, or late at night when you can’t get a massage.

I’ve tried many different pain patches over the years, but this particular Tiger Patch seems to work best for me. So I thought I’d share it with you.

It doesn’t replace treatment, but when I’m sore and can’t get treatment straight away, I find it really handy for temporary relief.

My little tip: don’t wait until you’re hurting. Keep a few in your bag, car or suitcase. It costs less than 30 Cents/ each .

These are the ones I use →

Have you ever wondered why your shoulder hurts… but the real problem is actually somewhere else?

One of the most fascinating things about the human body is that muscles never work alone. Every movement you make is the result of many muscles, joints and your nervous system working together as one team.

When one muscle becomes tight, shortened or overactive, your body doesn’t simply stop moving. It adapts.

Imagine one member of a rowing team suddenly pulling harder than everyone else. The boat doesn’t travel in a straight line anymore. The rest of the team has to work harder to keep the boat on course. Your body behaves in a very similar way.

Let’s take a simple example.

A tight hip flexor at the front of the hip can pull the pelvis forward. As the pelvis tilts, the lower back arches more than usual. To keep you standing upright, the upper back, neck and even your shoulders begin making small adjustments.

Weeks or months later, you may notice neck stiffness or shoulder pain, even though the original problem started around the hip.

Another common example is the chest muscles. Spending hours sitting at a computer or looking at a phone can shorten the muscles at the front of the chest. Over time, the shoulders round forwards and the muscles between the shoulder blades have to work much harder just to keep you upright. Eventually, those muscles become tired, sore and overloaded.

The painful area is often the muscle working the hardest—not necessarily the muscle causing the problem.

As therapists, we call this compensation. The body is incredibly clever. It will always find another way to complete a movement, even if that means asking other muscles to do a job they were never designed to do.

This is why treating only the painful spot may provide temporary relief, but the discomfort often returns. If we don’t identify and address the underlying movement pattern, the body simply falls back into the same compensation again.

During your assessment, I don’t just look at where it hurts.

I observe how your body moves. I compare left and right. I assess joint mobility, muscle length, muscle strength and movement patterns to understand why your body has adapted the way it has.

Every person is different. Two people may both have neck pain, but the reason behind that pain can be completely different. One may have limited movement through the upper back. Another may have weakness around the shoulder blade. Someone else may have reduced hip mobility that changes the way they stand and walk.

That is why a personalised assessment is so important.

Pain is your body’s way of asking you to pay attention. It doesn’t always tell you where the real problem is—it simply tells you where the body has reached its limit.

Understanding the whole body, rather than focusing on a single painful muscle, is often the first step towards creating lasting change.

If you’ve been chasing the same pain for months or even years without finding lasting relief, perhaps it’s time to ask a different question.

Instead of asking, “Where does it hurt?”

Ask, “Why is my body working this way?”

Sometimes, the answer is somewhere you never expected.

Book a comprehensive assessment today and let’s find the real cause—not just the painful area.

Sometimes, in the middle of it all, we begin to see our own mothers differently.

Maybe she was tired too.
Maybe she was simply learning as she went.
Maybe she carried more than we ever knew.

There comes a moment when we stop seeing our mother only as “Mum” and start seeing her as a woman — with her own journey, sacrifices, and quiet strength.

Perhaps one of the most beautiful things children can witness is love being passed gently from one generation to the next.

The kindness we show our parents, the patience we give them, and the time we make to simply sit and laugh together quietly teach our own children what love looks like.

Today feels like a gentle reminder to slow down, appreciate the people who shaped us, and cherish these small moments while we can.
