School holidays are here!

For some, they’re a chance to slow down. For others (myself included!), they can leave us feeling even more exhausted.

If you have been in any of my classes or workshops the last month, you will have heard me speak of Winter as the season that reminds us, rest isn’t a luxury, it’s how we replenish our energy for the 12 months ahead.

That’s why I created the Sleep Club, a collection of Yoga Nidra meditations and guided practices to support deep rest and nervous system regulation.

I’d love to gift you a complimentary Yoga Nidra meditation practice.

Grab a blanket, find a quiet corner and give yourself twenty minutes of uninterrupted rest. You can find the free meditation link in my bio, on my website or comment REST and I’ll send you the link.

I’m so excited to share that Expressions of Interest are now open for my Abhyanga Āyurvedic Massage Training, taking place 26–31 October in Picton, NSW.

This immersive training is an invitation to learn one of Ayurveda’s most treasured healing therapies. Together we’ll explore the traditional Abhyanga sequence, rhythmic strokes designed to support detoxification, nourish the tissues, calm the nervous system, and restore balance throughout the body.

You’ll also gain a practical understanding of Ayurvedic principles, learning how to recognise different constitutions and thoughtfully adapt your treatments to meet the unique needs of each person in your care.

Whether you’re a yoga teacher, bodyworker, massage therapist or simply feel called to deepen your understanding of this ancient healing art, this training offers a beautiful foundation in authentic Ayurvedic practice.

If this has been calling you, I’d love to welcome you. Expressions of Interest are now open via my website www.raewynfernandez.com.au

One of the biggest shifts Ayurveda gave me was realising I didn’t need to search outside myself to heal, what I needed was to truly listen to what was already happening.

Ayurveda teaches us to get curious; how does your body respond to certain foods? What shifts your sleep? What brings ease or friction to your relationships? Often, these patterns are subtle, but in noticing them, we get to know ourselves intimately. From that understanding, we gain the power to choose.

If you have studied Āyurveda with me you will have heard me say (many times 😉) “Like attracts like, opposites balance” but if you can’t hear what’s happening within, how can you find the opposite that brings you back to balance?

In knowing yourself, you enliven your vitality.

The deeper I go into this work, the simpler it becomes….

Warmth.
Touch.
Stillness.
Rhythm.

That’s it.

We complicate health because we’ve lost connection to the basics. Everything I teach comes back to this. Simple practices done consistently.

That’s what changes the body.

Yin Yoga 50 hour training
Camden NSW
Starting 14th of May

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, you’ve probably already felt the pull. Not because you need another training… but because something in the way you practise or teach has started to feel a little incomplete.

I see this a lot.

Teachers who are confident holding a room, who can build a strong sequence… but know there’s more happening in the body than what we’re taught to look for.

Yin tends to meet you right there.

It slows everything down enough that you can actually start to see what’s underneath the surface, how the joints respond, how the fascia holds, how the nervous system either settles or resists.

And once you see that, you can’t really unsee it. The way you practise changes and the way you teach changes.

It becomes less about getting people into shapes, and more about understanding what those shapes are doing. That’s the work we’ll be doing together.

Not rushing through poses. Not collecting sequences.
Learning how to read the body, and respond to it with a bit more intelligence and care.

We start in a few weeks.

If it’s been sitting in the back of your mind, there’s usually a reason for that.

This preparation was for a beautiful client today. I love the ritual of foraging herbs, purifying them and then preparing the poultice.

Pinda Sveda (herbal poultice therapy) is a treatment where warm bundles of medicinal herbs are rhythmically pressed and worked into the body.

This is where stagnation meets movement and where heaviness begins to lift.

Traditionally used in Ayurveda, Pinda Sveda supports the body in a very specific way:

– encourages circulation through the superficial and deeper tissues
– assists in breaking down ama (toxicity) held in the joints and muscles
– supports lymphatic movement and gentle detoxification
– reduces stiffness, swelling, and chronic tension
– nourishes while it draws out, a rare and intelligent dual action It’s both grounding and activating.

The oil builds ojas, that deep reserve of vitality and resilience. The heat and herbs mobilise what no longer needs to stay.

This combination is where the magic lives. Not forcing the body to detox… but preparing it, supporting it, and then gently guiding it there.

Sessions available now.

Most people meet Yin Yoga through the mood of it, the soft light, the props, the quiet spaces. And yes… that’s part of it, but it’s not the practice.

The practice is in the moment you’re not sure what to do next.
Do I stay, or is it time to come out? Is this useful sensation, or just pushing? Do I soften here, or support more?

That’s where Yin actually lives. Not in how it looks… but in how you respond. Over time, it becomes less about being still
and more about learning how to listen.

This is the space we spend time in inside the training.
The part that often gets missed. If you’ve felt this gap in your own practice or teaching, this training will meet you there.

There’s a lot moving through the world right now. You can feel it in conversations, in headlines, even at the petrol pump.

But here’s the thing I keep coming back to — we don’t just live in the world… we participate in shaping it.

In YTT this week, many of our conversations centred around the role we play in our own suffering, how leaning into fear and uncertainty can deepen that sense of suffering in our day-to-day experience of the world.

That matters….

While prices rise and uncertainty lingers, I’m choosing to lean the other way. Less fear, instead I’m choosing more love…. Less scarcity, I’m choosing compassion and connection.

As a small offering to my community, I’m sharing a 10% code across all sessions, including Ayurvedic bodywork like abhyanga, and consultations.

Because how we show up in times like this becomes the world we experience.

If you’re needing a treatment or consultation but don’t currently have the financial means, please reach out via private message. I would truly love to support you.

If you’d like the 10% code, comment LOVE below and I’ll send it through.

In love and service to you…
