Love massage but not the sore feeling the next day?
That tenderness is often called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). It can occur after remedial massage when deeper work encourages tight or dysfunctional muscles to release. Similar to post-exercise soreness, it’s a normal response and usually settles within 24–48 hours as the body heals and realigns.
✨ The good news: Hot stone remedial massage works differently. While it is still a remedial treatment, the heat allows muscles to soften and release more effectively, meaning less pressure is needed to achieve results. Because warmth does much of the work, post-massage soreness is uncommon.
I also offer combination treatments, blending hands-on remedial techniques with hot stones. Everyone responds a little differently, but with 100% hot stone remedial treatments, DOMS is rare.
