Over the weekend, team members from our Port Lincoln practice and our Whyalla practice had the opportunity to attend PRISM 2026, ProVision’s National Conference on the Gold Coast.

It was an inspiring few days filled with new ideas, the latest industry innovations, and valuable conversations with fellow independent optometrists from across Australia. Events like these help us stay at the forefront of eye care so we can continue bringing the very best knowledge, technology, and service back to our local communities.

We’re excited to put what we’ve learned into practice and can’t wait to share what’s ahead! 👓✨

Winter can bring unique challenges for eye comfort.
Indoor heating, cooler temperatures and increased screen time can all contribute to dry, tired or irritated eyes throughout the season.
This winter, we're sharing seven simple habits that may help support eye comfort and maintain healthy vision.
Small changes to your daily routine can make a meaningful difference to the way your eyes look and feel throughout the colder months.

National Diabetes Week starts today, and it's a good reminder that diabetes doesn't just affect blood sugar — it can affect your eyes too.

People living with diabetes are at increased risk of conditions like diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and glaucoma, which can develop gradually and often without noticeable symptoms in the early stages. By the time changes affect your vision, some damage may already be done.
The good news? Regular eye examinations can catch these changes early, often before you'd notice anything yourself.
This National Diabetes Week, if you or someone you love is living with diabetes, make the time for an eye check. Our team is here in Port Lincoln, Ceduna and Whyalla — book in with us to keep an eye on your eye health.

It's — National Eye Health Awareness Month! 👁️
Many eye conditions develop silently, with no early symptoms. Don't wait for warning signs — book a regular eye exam and protect your vision.
Check in on your eyes this month. 💙

🕶️ Happy National Sunglasses Day!

From long drives across the Eyre Peninsula to afternoons by the water — we know a thing or two about sunshine in South Australia.

And with some of the highest UV levels in the world, protecting your eyes isn’t just smart, it’s essential.

Quality sunglasses guard your eyes against harmful UV rays that can contribute to cataracts, macular degeneration, and long-term vision damage over time.

At Eyre Eye Centre, our optical dispensers are here to help you find the perfect fit — whether that’s a fashion-forward frame, a sport-ready lens, or prescription sunglasses tailored to your vision needs.

Because looking after your eyes today means enjoying clearer vision for years to come. 😎

👉 Visit us in Port Lincoln or Ceduna to explore our range.
