Wishing you a Merry Christmas from Shine Bright Physiotherapy!

This year has been truly incredible, working with so many amazing children in Port Lincoln. We’re proud to have supported children in improving their functional movement to reach their play, sport, and developmental goals — all while having lots of fun!

It’s a genuine privilege to be part of our client's developmental journey and to witness their progress towards their movement milestones and physical goals.

Shine Bright Physiotherapy will be closed over the summer school holidays. Jenni and Claire are looking forward to a well-earned summer holiday break and will return with their clinical caseload at the start of Term 1, 2026.

Until then, enjoy the summer sunshine and have a joyful holiday season! 🌞

This term, we’re thrilled to welcome Claire to Shine Bright Physiotherapy!

With over 15 years of experience, Claire brings energy, humour, and a love for fun to her paediatric physiotherapy sessions. She’s passionate about using play to help kids develop new skills, stay active, and enjoy learning through movement.

Claire’s dabbled in dance, sailing, singing, acrobatics/parkour, watersports, running, yoga, netball, pilates, volleyball, frisbee and bike riding - so you can expect these flavours to appear in her therapy sessions!🌈🚲💦

What a joy to see our Shine Bright Physiotherapy kids getting into the spirit of Book Week! 📚✨

At Shine Bright Physiotherapy, we love incorporating dress-up into our sessions—making movement fun and motivating! My personal favourite is pretending to be a butterfly, with quick running feet and gentle flapping arms. 🦋

This week, I dressed up as the butterfly from ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ — such a fun Book Week costume! 🐛

And look at this incredible Shine Bright Physio kid dressed in their Puff the Magic Dragon costume! 🐉

Happy Holidays! 🌞

Shine Bright Physiotherapy will be closed over the Christmas school holiday period and will reopen at the end of January 2025.

We can’t wait to hear all about the wonderful adventures our clients and their families enjoy over the summer break when we return for Term 1, 2025.

Helping children to *Shine Bright* has been the most inspiring, purposeful, and meaningful work of my career.

It has been an absolute honour to provide developmental physiotherapy that supports children in growing their independence, improving their function, building confidence in their bodies, and using movement to help them regulate, thrive, and feel at their best.

🎉Term 3 wrap-up at Shine Bright Physiotherapy🎉

As term 3 comes to a close, Shine Bright Physiotherapy celebrates 10 weeks of delivering developmental physiotherapy to babies, kids and teens in Port Lincoln.

Over this term, it has been a delight to meet so many new faces and to reconnect with familiar ones.

Shine Bright Physiotherapy has had the privilege of working with some amazing children and their families, and it has been inspirational to witness these kids challenge themselves, reach goals and to take pride in their individual physical and developmental achievements.

What a great first 10 weeks of service!

We cant wait to carry this momentum of growth and development into term 4 and to achieve even more together.

Meet Jenni, our Principal Physiotherapist & Director.

Jenni is a passionate and highly skilled Physiotherapist with extensive experience in paediatrics and developmental physiotherapy.

Since graduating in 2012, Jenni has worked across private and public sectors, and in collaboration with the Women's and Children's Hospital, to refine her skills in the early detection and early intervention of infants and children with movement dysfunction and developmental delays. She has a clinical interest in working with children who have a developmental delay or physical disability, and she enjoys working with newborns, infants and their parents.

Jenni has completed additional training to support children with movement issues who are autistic or who experience sensory dysfunction and coordination challenges.

Jenni's personal experience as a mother to an autistic child with complex physical and health care needs has given her a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges faced by families in similar situations. She recognises the significance of dependable local therapy supports to optimise intervention outcomes and to seamlessly integrate therapy into the weekly routine. This vision inspired the establishment of Shine Bright Physiotherapy in 2024.

When Jenni takes off her Physiotherapist hat, she enjoys gardening, caravanning, and taking her children to swimming lessons.

Do you know that we offer specialised paediatric physiotherapy services to newborns and infants?

The Shine Bright Baby Clinic focuses on assisting parents who have concerns or questions about their baby's development, growth, or movement patterns.

Early intervention is particularly beneficial for premature and low birth weight babies, as well as those with low tone or early signs of developmental delays.

Our Physiotherapist can support you and your baby in the following ways:

🌞 Treatment and management of infant musculoskeletal conditions, such as torticollis, talipes/clubfoot, developmental hip dysplasia, plagiocephaly (misshapen head) and spinal conditions.

🌞 Positioning and play techniques for early gross motor skill development.

🌞 Diagnostic support and intervention of movement disorders, physical and developmental delays, and neurological deficits.

🌞 Parent education and upskilling in the understanding of gross motor milestones and how to promote progressive physical play opportunities.

Where appropriate, the Shine Bright Baby Clinic can link clients with paediatricians and allied health supports from the Women's and Children's Hospital and the local health service.
