KARTING AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES TYRE SUPPLIERS FOR 2027-2031

The Board of Karting Australia has confirmed the appointment of Maxxis and Vega as the tyre suppliers for Karting Australia sanctioned competition from January 1, 2027, through to December 31, 2031.

This outcome follows an extensive tender and evaluation process undertaken over the past 18 months by Karting Australia management and directors.

Group 1 (Cadet 9 and Cadet 12) – Maxxis KA-Cadet
Group 2 (KA3 Junior, KA3 Senior, TaG 125 Restricted) – Maxxis RED MAO
Group 3 (TaG 125, Rotax, KA2) – Vega KA-H
Group 4 (KZ2, X30, Open Performance) – Vega KA-M
Group 5 (4SS, 4SS Supersport) – Maxxis Sport

🏁 OFFICIALS TRAINING IS HEADING TO PORT MACQUARIE! 🏁

As part of the Karting Australia NSW Officials Training Workshop Series, we're bringing officials training to Port Macquarie ahead of Round 2 of the 2026 NSW State Series. Whether you're brand new to officiating, considering getting involved, or have been around the sport for years and want a refresher on the latest rules and procedures, this session is for you.

Officials are the backbone of our sport. They help create safe, fair and professionally run events for everyone involved. The more knowledgeable and confident officials we have, the stronger our clubs and race meetings become.

✅ Looking to give back to your club?
✅ Need a refresher on recent rule updates and procedures?
✅ Want to learn more about how events are run behind the scenes?

Join us for an informal and informative evening where you can ask questions, meet experienced officials and learn more about the many roles available.
The learning doesn't stop on Friday night. Those attending will also have the opportunity to observe and be mentored by experienced officials during the Port Macquarie State Series race weekend. It's a fantastic chance to see officiating in action, gain practical experience, ask questions in a live event environment, and build confidence in your role.

We all know that without our Volunteers, racing stops!

This week as part of National Volunteer’s Week, we celebrate your dedication that keeps the wheels turning.

The long hours in all weather conditions, the jobs that no one seems to notice, and all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making our great sport run, week-in-week-out!

This week, we will profile four of our amazing contributors across the country that continue to make a massive impression on our sport and to inspire us all to keep pushing!

On behalf of the Australian karting community from the north to the south, from the east to the west, we sincerely thank you!

Every Kart club could use more helpers, so if you’d like to volunteer, talk to your local club about ways you can get involved.
