We don’t like charging cancellation fees. In fact, I personally hate having to do it.
But as a small, locally owned business, our time is quite literally our income.
When you book an appointment with us, that time is reserved specifically for you. If an appointment is cancelled at the last minute or someone doesn’t arrive, there often isn’t enough time to offer that appointment to somebody else.
That means the time is lost — and so is the income attached to it.
Our cancellation policy isn’t there to punish anyone. It’s there to protect the time of our practitioners and staff, keep appointments available for clients who need them, and help our little clinic operate sustainably.
We’ve seen so many local businesses close their doors recently, and it’s an important reminder that supporting local businesses goes beyond simply choosing to shop or book locally. Respecting bookings, giving as much notice as possible when plans change, and understanding the policies small businesses put in place all make a difference.
We want Zero Gravity Health to be here for many years to come, continuing to provide the level of care, service and experience our clients expect and deserve.
So while charging a cancellation fee will probably never be something we enjoy doing, sometimes protecting a small business means having boundaries that allow it to remain sustainable.
