Did you know that Epichealth Portarlington is taking part in a research study to help improve the identification and diagnosis of breathlessness?

Being short of breath is a common symptom that can sometimes be difficult to recognise or diagnose. This study aims to improve the way healthcare providers identify people who may be experiencing breathlessness.

Over the next 12 months, you may notice a few optional questions about breathlessness in the SMS link you receive before your appointment.

Participation is completely voluntary, and choosing not to take part will not affect your care in any way.

If you'd like to learn more, you can download our Breathlessness Research Information Sheet from our website or speak with our Practice Manager or one of our Medical Receptionists.

👨‍⚕️ Dr David Sleight brings more than 10 years' experience in emergency medicine and is undertaking Rural Generalist training with ACRRM. He has a passion for rural healthcare and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred care.

👨‍⚕️ Dr Jeffrey Sanderson has extensive experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, paediatrics, aged care and palliative care. With a background as an expert hand, elbow and shoulder therapist, he also has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and holistic primary care.

As an accredited GP training practice, we're proud to support the next generation of General Practitioners while continuing to provide high-quality healthcare for our community.

Last Friday, we said goodbye to Dr Ama Liyanapatabendi as she concluded her time with Epichealth.
Since joining our team as a GP Registrar, Dr Ama provided compassionate, patient-centred care and became a valued member of our clinics. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication to supporting patients from all backgrounds made a lasting impact on both our team and the community.
During her time with Epichealth, Dr Ama also achieved the significant milestone of becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) – a testament to her hard work, commitment, and excellence in general practice. We were proud to celebrate this achievement with her.
We sincerely thank Dr Ama for her dedication, warmth, and the exceptional care she provided to our patients throughout her time with us.
