Spiritual lessons from crocheting

1. Itโ€™s okay to start again
2. Mistakes happen along the way
3. Things donโ€™t always turn out the way we projected
4. We are always given chances to make things right

If was absolutely amazing receiving so much insight whilst I was crocheting.

I decided to cut the thread and start again. Undoing hours and hours spent on making a blanket. In some ways, yes I was a little sadโ€ฆ so much effort and time put into getting it this far. There were many mistakes with the edge line growing outwards instead of straight.

And my mind kept saying, itโ€™s okay to start again ๐ŸŒป and so I did. I changed the pattern and started a different crochet stitch. I reflected on the mistakes and knew it was okay and mistakes happen. And I let go of holding on to what was created but no longer fit the purpose (of being a straight blanket ๐Ÿ˜…).

As I write this, I see many aspects of crocheting relating to the human journey. We go in one direction, make many mistakes along the way, figure out what we love and donโ€™t love. And there might be a point where we have a choice to change directions as it no longer serves our path. And itโ€™s okay to do thatโ€ฆ itโ€™s okay to let go of hours, days, weeks & years of time we have invested into something, maybe a way of being, maybe a relationship, maybe a career.

It is okay to start again ๐ŸŒป

Stress is one of the highest cause of many physical pain symptoms & misalignments. Not only does it affect our mental state but as well as our emotional health.

Stress can show up physically through:
- tense shoulder & neck pain
- Irritable bowels
- Chest pains
- Back pains

Emotionally is can appear as:
- Reactive to situations
- Random spurts of anger
- Burst of tears
- Sadness & feelings of lost

And mentally we can see this as:
- unable to make decisions
- Unable to think clearly
- Unable to relax & be present

Itโ€™s important when working to โ€˜unstressโ€™ to do it in a wholistic way. Going for walks shifts energies and allows the muscles to move & blood to pump. Journalling thoughts clears the mental & emotional bodies. Get a massage to move stress & stagnation in the body. And book yourself in for an energy healing session to allow your body to get into a state of relaxation & start shifting the energy in the body faster โœจ

Take a moment to hear me outโ€ฆ

How often to let out everything thatโ€™s happened within your day?

How often do you share how you truly feel about things/people/situations/hurts?

When you share these words with family and friends, do you feel safe? Seen? Heard? Or judged, criticised, told what to do?

Well thatโ€™s the beauty of journalling. Itโ€™s a safe space to write down everything. Write down your thoughts, emotions & feelings. Let it all out till your hand starts hurting then come back to it the next day.

What journalling actually does is release it from your mind & body so the story doesnโ€™t continue replaying on your mind and allows your shoulders to relax instead of holding the weight of the world.

It provides clarity as when we write out the events or how we felt the bigger picture gets revealed to us.

Once itโ€™s written, itโ€™s out of your being and onto the paper and if youโ€™re afraid someone is going to read itโ€ฆ burn the pages, tear them up and throw them out.

The whole point is getting it out of your mind and on to paper.

The energy of the Full Moon is a powerful tool to work with โœจ and if your a bit of a sceptical, take a minute to ponder on how the moon affects the ocean tides, then bring it back to the human body being 70% water.

Your intentions are everything during this time ๐ŸŒป and even though they may be running a little wild with the intensity of energy, it is a useful time to direct that into what you want to experience, have and be ๐Ÿค

Releasing emotions is as simple as just speaking them out loud. A statement such as โ€˜Iโ€™m ready to release these feelings of abandonment and open to receiving love nowโ€™

If speaking them doesnโ€™t feel right, journaling is another great way to release and set your intentions. This way you also shift things internally but releasing these stored emotions ๐Ÿฆ‹

With intention setting, think about what you truly want. Do you want to feel a certain way? Are you looking for a more aligned career? Do you want to experience more joy? Spend sometime thinking about what you truly want and what brings you happiness ๐Ÿฅฐ

It is also a great time to give your home a thorough clean. This helps move stagnant energy which also allows the new positive energy to move in ๐ŸŒป

Self-care ritual ๐Ÿ’— itโ€™s a perfect time to show how much you mean to you ๐Ÿ™ how grateful you are for this body, this life, this family and all the experiences. Think simple, maybe that bath with beautiful essential oils? Maybe itโ€™s a pedicure? Maybe itโ€™s that 10mins reading your fav book. Maybe a self massage? Whatever it is, do it ๐Ÿฅฐ
