We are seeking experienced and dedicated Support Workers to provide care for an individual with complex mental health needs, who is deaf and has a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

Key Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years experience in support work or related roles
• Experience supporting individuals with alcohol and drug challenges
• Skilled in managing behaviours of concern
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills
• Reliable, flexible, and professional

Support Responsibilities:
• Providing social support and community engagement
• Assisting with home maintenance and daily living tasks
• Supporting communication needs

Role Details:
• Location: Canberra, Southside
• Shifts: Varying shifts from 2–6 hours, flexibility required

As we approach “Australia Day” a controversial topic of conversation we would like to acknowledge our community as a whole. Regardless of who you are, where you are from or where you belong- you will always be welcome here with us 💜

✨ JUSTICE FOR NOAH ✨

CALL TO ACTION - TONIGHT 8PM - ONLINE VIGIL

Vale Noah Johnston. 💔

Noah was a Disabled 22 year old young man who used a ventilator and required 24/7 nursing support to monitor his breathing - which he had via the NDIS.

The NDIA cut his nursing support. His family were at Tribunal trying to have it restored to ensure he was safe.

Noah died in the night when his ventilator detached and no nurse was there to reconnect it. Exactly what his family feared, came to pass, before his Tribunal matter could be resolved and supports restored.

We ask that our beloved Disability community light a candle together with us tonight at 8pm and share a collective minute of silence, grief and fury, in memory of Noah.

We express our deepest solidarity with his family as they grieve their son. We express our love and support to his friends, his community. We also send our support and care to the legal team who fought for him.

We ask that you boost visibility for Noah tonight. This should never have happened. He should never have had his funding cut off.

Noah should be here.
