There’s still time to be part of our In Our Words: Postcard Project! 🎨

We’re celebrating National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day by inviting children to share what growing up strong, proud and deadly means to them through art and their own words.

Every submission becomes a special postcard to keep! A lasting reminder that every child’s voice and story matters.

📧 Send your artwork to [email protected]. Email us or call us on 02 5104 8521 if you need help.

Parents and carers can find the participation guide and consent form here:

Come in for a yarn about bowel screening-no shame about it🫶🏽

Just turned 45? It’s time to visit your local ACCHO and pick up your free bowel screening kit.

If you’re aged 45–74, you can do a free bowel screening test at home every two years. It’s quick, private, and could save your life.

Got your bowel kit at home but not sure how to do it? Your local ACCHO can help walk you through it.

Doing a bowel screening test is one of the simplest things you can do to look after yourself and your family. Strong Inside.

Bowel cancer is common amongst mob, but finding it early makes a big difference.

Talk to your local ACCHO or women’s group about bowel health.

Trust your gut. It knows when something’s off.

UPDATE - Telstra has now implemented a solution that has addressed the impact of the secondary Triple Zero issue. Backup systems and the welfare check process remains in place, however they have not needed to complete a welfare check since the solution was implemented.

⚠️ OUTAGE UPDATE - TRIPLE ZERO ADVICE
- STATEWIDE

- Posted: 9:43pm, Wednesday 8 July

While Telstra fixed the issue that caused today's outage, they have identified a secondary issue impacting some calls including Triple Zero.

In these cases, when you call Triple Zero you’ll receive an error message and your phone will try to connect to an alternative mobile network.

If you experience any issues calling Triple Zero, try:

1. Waiting for your phone to connect to an alternative network if one is available - this can take up to 90 seconds

2. Using a different phone to make the call

As part of the back up process, a welfare check will be completed where a failed Triple Zero call is detected.

We will provide updates as they become available.
