👩🏻‍🔬📚 Recent post-Covid-19 research demonstrates that pregnant women 🤰🏻and their partners suffer from phenomena described as 'missing out'.🤦🏻‍♀️ During the pandemic, changes in the provision of maternity care meant that pregnant women and their partners felt a sense of loss because the maternity experience was not all it could have been or did not meet their pre-Covid expectations (Vasilevski et al., 2022). ​​​​​​​​

👼🏼👏🏼Fortunately, the maternity experience has returned to a modified normality. Finding a balance between the health of mother and baby, and a 💜 fulfilling birthing experience is now easier to achieve and a priority for me and my team.
