All You Can Eat Pizza & Pasta Night!
What a fantastic night!
The Friends of Jacaranda Village hosted their annual Pizza & Pasta Night on August 31st, with a full house, plenty of delicious food, lots of laughs and over 30 raffle prizes won! 🎉
A huge thank you to the Friends of Jacaranda Village for hosting, everyone who donated prizes, and everyone who came along to support the event.
And a special thank you to Joe and the team Pizza Cafe At The Grand for helping make the night such a success!
We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💜🍕🍝

We absolutely love our visits with the students from Red Cliffs Primary School! Our intergenerational program has been a huge success, bringing our residents and students together for plenty of creativity, laughter and meaningful connections. 💚💛

These visits have become something our residents regularly look forward to, and we love seeing the friendships and special memories growing with every visit. 💚💛

A big thank you to Red Cliffs Primary School for being such a wonderful part of the Jacaranda Village community! 💚💛

Hello All,

On Thursday, September 10th we will be hosting our Annual Vanilla Slice Bake-Off!
Now is your chance to put your baking skills to the test, with a prize up for grabs for Best Vanilla Slice.
Not a fan of vanilla slice? That’s okay! You can still join in the fun by entering your favourite slice for the chance to win our Best Favourite Slice prize.

All entries must be submitted by 10:00am sharp on Thursday 10th September, with judging commencing at 10:30am.
So, dust off your favourite recipe, get baking and bring along your delicious creation. We cannot wait to see — and taste — all of the wonderful slices!

Today we celebrate Aged Care Employee Day – a day to recognise the incredible people who dedicate their time, compassion and kindness to caring for others.

To our amazing team, thank you for the difference you make each and every day. Your hard work, patience and genuine care help create a place our residents are proud to call home.

What a story! Thank you for sharing your life story with us all Bob.

Bob Fox is 88 years old and resides at Jacaranda Village in Red Cliffs. In conversation with our volunteer author Vernon Knight, he spoke about his early years.

Bob "hated school, so Dad got me to come home and work for him. Dad was a self-taught mechanic and very good, so I learnt a lot. The only thing I didn’t get was pay."

Obviously, what his dad taught him stuck - Bob has been involved in the restoration and maintenance of vehicles of various sorts all of his adult life. His first job was as a mechanic was with GM dealer Coliseum Motors (now Ballarat Holden Limited). His last was with Hutchinson Motors (now Mildura Motor Holdings), and there were quite a few in between.

In retirement he has restored two Model Ts (a touring and a coupé model), several trucks, numerous vintage tractors, and the list goes on. When it comes to anything on wheels, our writer Vernon says this motor mechanic "is a magician!"

Everyone at the Village tumbled down a little rabbit hole on Monday afternoon for our delightful Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

We were thrilled to welcome students from @ Red Cliffs Primary School for an afternoon filled with laughter, friendship, cups of tea (and perhaps a strawberry milkshake or two!), and delicious cake.

The HUB was transformed into a magical Wonderland, beautifully decorated to capture the spirit of the occasion. A special thank you to our wonderful Lifestyle team for their creativity and enthusiasm in dressing up for the event, helping to bring the theme to life.

We also extend our thanks to the students for joining us and making the afternoon such a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

What a wonderfully whimsical afternoon shared by all! ☕🎩🐇✨
