The International Teacher Training Program 2026 is underway at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in the UK. Resident Teachers have gathered together from around the world for their annual study program with Gen-la Khyenrab. This program was established by the Founder of New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, to ensure the continued unity, purity and qualification of Kadampa Teachers around the world.
Right now at Manjushri KMC there are almost 150 Teachers from around the world gathered together at their spiritual home. They are studying Part 2 of How to Understand the Mind by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. The Teacher for the course is Gen-la Khyenrab and sessions take place twice a day in the Kadampa Temple for World Peace, six days a week. They are joined by many more around the world participating online. For those attending in person it is a rich, immersive period of training and an opportunity to spend very valuable time with other Teachers, discussing the topics and sharing ideas and experience with each other.
The Teachers have by now settled into a daily rhythm of teachings, meditations, discussion and personal study and practice. They also help with work around Manjushri Centre and enjoy walking in the gardens, woods and along the shore as they memorize the text. At lunchtime there is lively conversation and everywhere you look someone is studying.
Although the Teachers are physically away from their centers, their communities are always in their hearts, and this is an important time of renewal in order for them to return with reinvigorated motivation, inspiration and dedication.
