Last week our friends created some lovely art work and envelopes.

Today we set off on a walk to post them to our homes supporting Learning Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity. As well as Learning Outcome 2: Children are connected with and contribute to their world.

Over the next week, our friends will be checking their letter boxes as they wait for the arrival of their artwork 💖

As our friends get older, so do the learning topics!

This group of friends have demonstrated they've developed lots of knowledge regarding shapes. To ensure they are continuing to widen their knowledge on this topic, a new activity has been introduced.

This activity not only encourages children to learn and retain different shapes. But, also supports expanding the learning of new topics such as recognising and completing patterns.

Our Wednesday Friends spent their time engaging with these colourful alphabet stickers. While, putting their skills and knowledge to the test.

We engaged in meaningful conversations as they explored what letters could be found and what words could be created.

We are so lucky to spend our days, filled with so much fun and learning!

We made the most of the sunshine and warmer weather by taking lots of learning outside this week.

Engaging in both child lead and intentional teaching moments to challenge ourselves and expand our skills set.

On Wednesday, we took part in some slow yoga for our group time. How can utilising this short interactive program help with learning?

- Children build emotional regulation and self-soothing skills as they practice controlled breathing and mindful cool-downs.
- Children improve their gross motor skills, spatial awareness, balance, and physical strength through diverse body movements.
- Children listen to and transfer language and visual instructions by translating spoken stories or digital imagery into physical actions.

This week we explored a construction sensory box!

We mixed flour and cooking oil to make a soft crumbly base. Then, add some mini wood pieces for extra fun.

This simple activity provided the perfect opportunity for our friend to explore their imaginations as they dove into a mini world of fun.

Using our sensors to touch and feel the different resources. While practicing and strengthening our fine motor skills to dig, lift and dump with the truck.

On Monday, we took part in this colourful painting activity. This group of friends used their curiosity when approaching the table and creativity when exploring each colour.

While engaging with the paint, we had meaningful conversations to test and expand our knowledge of colours.

Our friends experimented by mixing the colours to see what would happen. They shared their enthusiasm and ideas with each other.
