There are some tools in my healing space that are quiet, simple… and incredibly powerful.

This is my pendulum.

I use it within my shamanic energy medicine sessions as one way of listening to what the energy field is communicating.

Not because I believe a pendulum holds some magical authority over you, or knows your truth better than you do.

It doesn’t.

For me, it is a tool of inquiry.

During a session, I may use it to help me explore the movement and quality of energy around the chakras, identify areas that appear balanced or disrupted, or bring my attention toward something that may benefit from deeper tracking.

But the pendulum is never the healer.

Neither am I.

It is simply another language through which I can listen.

And perhaps that is one of the things I love most about shamanic practice: we are invited to become curious about the languages we were never taught to hear.

The language of the body.
The nervous system.
Sensation.
Intuition.
Energy.
Symbol.
The natural world.

Sometimes healing begins not with finding another answer…

but with learning how to listen differently.

And when I work with you, every tool I use is ultimately in service of helping you reconnect with the wisdom that already lives within you.

What might become visible when we learn to listen beyond words?

🌿 Have you ever worked with a pendulum? Did anything surprise you?

There are things trauma survivors often wish the people they love could understand.

Not because they want to be treated as fragile, or defined by what happened to them.

But because what looks confusing from the outside can make perfect sense when we understand what the nervous system has learned.

A need for reassurance can look like neediness.
Wanting to know the plan can look like control.
Pulling away can look like avoidance.
Noticing tiny changes can look like over-sensitivity.
A big reaction to something small can look irrational.

But underneath it all, the body may be asking:

“Am I safe?”

Trauma isn’t only the story of what happened. It can also live in what the body learned because of what happened:

Stay alert. Keep everyone happy. Don’t let your guard down. Prepare for what might happen next.

These responses were learned for a reason.

So instead of asking:

“Why are you reacting like this?”

Perhaps we could become curious enough to ask:

“What is this reaction trying to protect?”

Because healing isn’t about forgetting the past or forcing yourself to stop reacting.

It’s about creating enough experiences of safety in the present that the nervous system can gradually recognise:

This is not then.
I have choices now.
I can speak now.
I can have boundaries now.
I can protect myself now.

Survival helped you get here. But survival doesn’t have to become the place you live forever.

Healing can be the gentle process of showing those protective parts that there is another way to live — more present, embodied, connected and free.

Not becoming someone new…

but returning to more of who you were underneath it all. 🌿

How often are we waiting for our life to feel different before we allow ourselves to feel at home within it?

When the relationship changes.
When the anxiety settles.
When the body changes.
When we finally heal ‘that’ thing.
When we become the version of ourselves we think we’re supposed to be.

But let’s pause for a moment and consider… what if healing isn’t always about becoming someone else.

Perhaps sometimes it is about creating enough space within ourselves to meet the person who is already here.

Not the roles.
Not the old stories.
Not the survival patterns.
Not who you needed to become to make it through.

YOU.

So I’m curious…

If you didn’t have to improve, achieve, prove or heal anything before you were worthy of meeting yourself fully…

who might you discover underneath it all?

I’d genuinely love to hear what comes up for you. 🤍🌿

We’ll explore more about who YOU are in my next reel. Follow and explore my page for more info

What if the version of you shaped by your past was never meant to define who you become?

There are parts of you that were shaped by everything you have lived through.

The one who struggled with relationships.
The one who found it difficult to follow through.
The anxious one.
The people pleaser.
The angry one.
The one who kept choosing familiar patterns.
The one who didn’t yet feel confident enough, brave enough, safe enough.

Those parts of you didn’t appear for no reason.

They hold the imprint of real experiences.

Of things that hurt.
Things that changed you.
Things that shaped what you came to believe about yourself, other people and the world around you.

Some of these ways of being may have helped you belong, cope, protect yourself or feel safe.

Your experiences were real.
The ways you learned to respond to them made sense.

And still…

what happened to you does not have to decide who you are allowed to become.

Sometimes we repeat the stories of who we have been for so long that they begin to sound less like our history and more like our identity.

“That’s just who I am.”

But what if it isn’t?

You can honour the person you needed to become to move through what you experienced, without asking that version of you to determine who you must be next.

Because healing isn’t about rejecting who you have been.

It’s about creating enough space to ask:

Who am I now?

What do I believe now?
What feels aligned now?
What am I ready to choose differently now?

You are allowed to surprise yourself.

You are allowed to respond differently than you did last time.

You are allowed to outgrow identities that once felt permanent.

And perhaps becoming isn’t even about creating a new you.

Perhaps it’s about gently releasing what you no longer need to carry…

so there is more room to remember and embody who you are underneath it all. 🌿

Your past can explain you without defining you.

In the Western world, when we hear medicine, most of us immediately think of something we take.

A tablet.
A prescription.
A substance designed to treat something happening within the body.

And there is enormous value in modern medicine. This isn’t about rejecting it.

It’s about expanding the conversation.

Because across many Indigenous traditions, the idea of medicine can hold a much wider meaning—one connected not only with the physical body, but with wholeness, balance, relationship and wellbeing.

Through this lens, medicine isn’t always something manufactured and handed to us.

Sometimes medicine is something we experience.

The ocean can be medicine.
Sunlight can be medicine.
Movement can be medicine.
A dog resting its head in your lap can be medicine.
A story that changes the way you understand yourself can be medicine.
Grief can carry medicine.
A boundary can be medicine.
Ceremony can be medicine.
So can laughter, community, silence, music, fire, breath, tears and time spent beneath a tree.

Even a difficult experience can eventually reveal its medicine—not because suffering is inherently good, but because of what we may discover within ourselves as we move through it.

Perhaps medicine is not only what removes the symptom.

Perhaps medicine can also be anything that helps return us to greater relationship with ourselves, each other, the Earth and the parts of us we have forgotten how to hear.

And that opens a much bigger question:

What if some of the medicine you have been searching for isn’t something you swallow… but something you remember, experience, practise or reconnect with?

Modern medicine and this broader understanding don’t have to compete.

There is room for both.

One can help treat the body.

And the other can invite us to become curious about the whole human being who lives within it. 🌿

So I wonder… what is medicine to you?

YOU are the healer. 🌿

Many of us have sat across from a psychic, medium, energy worker or shamanic practitioner and thought:

They have something I don’t.
They can see what I can’t.
They know what I need to heal.

And without realising it, we can begin placing that person—and their gifts—on a pedestal.

But your healing does not belong to them.

A practitioner may illuminate what you couldn’t yet see. They may offer another perspective, hold sacred space, or help you access parts of yourself that have been buried, protected or forgotten.

But they are not the source of your healing. You are.

I become cautious when healing creates dependency—when we’re encouraged to believe someone else holds the answers, power or gift we need to become whole.

True service feels different.

A healer isn’t here to convince you how powerful they are.

They’re here to help you remember how powerful YOU are.

To walk beside you.
To hold the lantern while you learn to see.
To hold sacred space while you learn to listen.
To offer tools while you reconnect with the wisdom already within you.

Because your healing ripples outward.

Your rising does not diminish mine.
Your power does not threaten mine.
Your healing serves us all.

Perhaps the greatest gift a healer can offer is helping you reach the moment you realise:

“I was never coming here to be healed by you.
I was coming here to remember the healer within me.”

And what an honour it is to hold sacred space while someone remembers. 🤍

Sometimes we stay in what hurts, not because we want to suffer… but because somewhere within us, the familiar has learned to feel safer than the unknown. 🌿

The same relationship patterns.
The same beliefs about ourselves.
The same reactions, fears and protective behaviours.

When something has been repeated for long enough, we may stop recognising it as a pattern at all.

We simply begin to believe, “This is who I am.”

But awareness changes something.

The moment we can witness a pattern with curiosity rather than judgement, we create a little space between who we are and what we learned to do to survive, belong or feel safe.

And within that space, another choice becomes possible.

This is one of the things I love about shamanic healing.

Rather than asking you to fight against yourself, we can gently become curious about what sits beneath the pattern — the stories, beliefs, experiences or energetic imprints that may still be influencing the way you move through life.

Not to relive them.

Not to shame the part of you that adapted.

But to acknowledge what was once protective, release what you are ready to stop carrying, and begin creating something different.

Because familiar does not necessarily mean aligned.

And unfamiliar does not necessarily mean unsafe.

Sometimes the unfamiliar thing waiting on the other side of an old pattern is peace. Freedom. Healthy love. Boundaries. Trust.

Perhaps healing begins with simply noticing:

What suffering have I become so accustomed to that I have mistaken it for part of who I am? 🤍

And if you’re ready to explore that question more deeply, I’d be honoured to hold sacred space beside you as you discover what you’re ready to release — and what you’re ready to choose instead.

Let’s clear up some common misconceptions about cord cutting… 🌿

✂️ Cord cutting doesn’t mean cutting someone out of your life.
You can release an energetic entanglement and still love, speak to, work with, co-parent with, or have a relationship with that person.

✂️ It isn’t done from anger, fear or rejection.
The intention isn’t “I want you gone.” It’s “I release what isn’t mine to carry, and return to you what belongs to you.”

✂️ It doesn’t erase the relationship or your memories.
What you shared remains part of your story. We’re releasing the energetic entanglement, not pretending the connection never existed.

And within this practice, there is a beautiful understanding:

Cords of pure love can never be severed.

We are not cutting away love. We are releasing the fear, attachment, obligation, resentment, pain or energetic entanglement that may have become woven around it.

What is truly rooted in love remains.

✂️ It isn’t about taking your power back from someone else.
Your power was always yours. Cord cutting can be a ceremonial way of remembering your boundaries and calling your own energy home.

✂️ And it isn’t something we do to another person.
We aren’t trying to change, control or energetically punish them.

Within the way I practise cord cutting, the intention is compassionate:

Your energy returns to you.
Their energy returns to them.

And both people are released from the entanglement with the intention that each may move forward freely, in alignment with their own highest path.

🤍 What might improve in your relationships, if cord cutting could help you stay connected, without staying entangled? 🤍

If there is a relationship, past or present, where you can still feel the energetic pull, I would be honoured to guide you through this sacred cord-cutting ritual — creating space to lovingly return each person’s energy to its rightful owner, honour what remains, and allow you both the freedom to move forward on your own paths. 🌿

Reach out to me if you feel this ritual is calling.
