A great support team is always learning. 💜

Earlier this week, our Alpha Care and Share team spent time with a Behaviour Support Practitioner, building their knowledge around positive behaviour support, de-escalation, restrictive practice awareness, and safely supporting people with complex behaviours.

It was a session filled with real scenarios, thoughtful conversations and practical learning — helping our team feel more prepared for the moments that can be challenging and unpredictable.

Because supporting people well isn’t just about having the right skills. It’s about responding with patience, compassion and dignity, especially when things get difficult.

We’re proud of our team for continuing to learn, ask questions and grow together.

It’s okay to say no. 💜

Support work asks a lot of your heart, and that’s exactly why boundaries matter.

Saying no to an extra shift when you’re running on empty isn’t letting your team down. It’s making sure you can keep showing up fully for the people who need you.

Rest isn’t selfish. It’s part of what makes sustainable, quality care possible.

This could be the next home for someone in your life. 🏡💜

Our ILO home in Park Ridge has a room waiting — fully furnished, close to everything, and part of a warm household.

The current household includes a friendly, easy-going participant who enjoys community access, music, and quiet time at home. We're looking for another male participant (30+), ideally funded for 30+ support hours a week, with similar support needs — someone who'll thrive in a positive and respectful living environment.

For David, it's not just a trip to the water. 🌊

Community Access is about more than getting from one place to another. It's about supporting people to spend time in the places that matter most to them—because those moments can make a real difference to their wellbeing.
