We are a Medicare Bull Billing Practice 💚

From 1 March 2026, Renmark Medical Clinic moved to bulk billing all standard consultations for all patients who hold a current Medicare Card.

This means eligible patients have no out‑of‑pocket fees for standard Medicare‑covered consultations.

❗ Services Not Covered by Bulk Billing

The following services will continue to incur a gap fee for non-health care card and non-pension card holders:

🩺 Procedures & Clinical Services

- Skin procedures

- Biopsies

- Removal of lesions

- Dressings not attended to by a doctor

- Routine requests via HotDoc (administrative, non‑urgent requests)

- Services provided by a Specialist or 3rd party that consults from the Renmark Medical Clinic

📄 Non‑Medicare Services

Medical assessments for:

- Employment

- Insurance

- Commercial Driver’s licence

- Other non‑Medicare purposes

💼 Work-Related Services

- WorkCover consultations

🚫 Attendance-Related Fees

- No‑show fees

- Late cancellation fees

🧾 Patients Without a Medicare Card

- All patients without a valid Medicare card will be privately billed.

We are committed to providing accessible, high‑quality healthcare while keeping our billing processes transparent.
If you are unsure whether a service is bulk billed, our reception team is happy to assist.

🩺 Rapid Assessment Paediatric Clinic

We are so excited to share this amazing program with the Riverland!

Children and teenagers in Renmark, Berri and Glossop can access free healthcare
consultations with a local doctor at school from March 2026.

The RAP Clinic is run by the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network’s (RMCLHN)
Riverland Academy of Clinical Excellence (RACE) in collaboration with Renmark Medical
Clinic and the following local schools: Rivergum Christian College, Glossop Community
School, Berri Primary School, Renmark High School, Renmark Primary School, Renmark
North Primary School, Renmark West Primary School and the Clontarf Foundation.

Through the clinic, a doctor called a Trainee Medical Officer (TMO) will be on-site at each
school to provide a healthcare consultation to students of all ages. During the consultation,
children and teenagers can discuss any healthcare concerns that they would visit a
General Practitioner (GP) to discuss. For example, concerns about their mental health,
healthy diet and exercise. Parents and guardians are required to be present during these
consultations at school.

If required, the TMO will refer students to the Renmark Medical Clinic for a bulk-billed
consultation with a GP during dedicated hours each afternoon.

Jarrod Hales is a Podiatrist and the founder of BackRoad Health.

With over 10 years of experience, Jarrod provides practical, outcomes-focused podiatry care for patients experiencing acute and chronic foot and ankle injuries.

Jarrod can assist with:

- Post-operative foot & ankle rehabilitation
- Complex lower limb pain & gait issues
- Work injuries & return-to-work cases
- DVA patients
- Orthotic assessment & prescription

Jarrod also has a long-standing connection to the Riverland. His grandfather was the captain of the Marion paddle steamer, and his family has had a river shack locally for more than 40 years – making the Riverland a very special place for him and his family.

Jarrod will be consulting at Renmark Medical every six weeks, with telehealth consultations available between clinic visits.

To our Patients

With the increase in the number of doctors at Renmark Medical, we are now able to offer our patients more appointment availability 💚

As a result, we will no longer be offering HotDoc Routine Requests for repeat prescriptions and referrals.

Instead, patients can now book a bulk-billed consultation with one of our doctors, either in person or over the phone, for repeat prescriptions and referrals.
