We’re making it a little easier to check in at Reservoir Medical Group.

We’ve recently introduced a self-service check-in tablet for patient arrivals. If our reception team is busy helping other patients, you can simply check yourself in using the tablet. If you prefer to check in with one of our friendly reception staff, that’s still available too.

It’s all about giving you more choice, reducing waiting times, and helping your visit run as smoothly as possible.

The National Bowel Cancer Screening Program sends a free, at-home test kit to eligible Australians aged 45 to 74. It takes just a few minutes and can be done in the privacy of your own home.

Bowel cancer caught early is highly treatable. When detected at the earliest stage, survival rates are over 90%. The test is free, non-invasive, and you do not need to take time off work or visit a clinic to complete it. A positive result does not necessarily mean cancer it simply means further investigation is needed. Your GP is always the best person to talk through what the results mean for you.

From 1 July 2026, new Medicare requirements will come into effect regarding bulk billing consent forms. Under these changes, patients must provide consent before a Medicare bulk billed claim can be processed.

What this means for you:

If your doctor chooses to bulk bill you, you will be required to provide consent for your Medicare bulk billed service.

You can do this by either:

Signing a Paper form at reception after your consultation
or
Replying to the SMS sent to your phone after your consultation

If consent for Bulk Bill is not provided, a Private fee will be charged for the consult.

Flu Vaccinations

The following people can have the flu vaccination for free, under the government's National Immunisation Program:

* Children from 6 months to under 5 years
* Adults aged 65 and over
* Pregnant Women
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
* People aged 6 months and over with certain medical conditions (Speak to your doctor to find out if you qualify)

If you do not qualify for the free vaccination:

At Reservoir Medical Group, we have the flu vaccine available for just $15 per dose. If your appointment IS SOLELY FOR THE FLU VACCINATION, your consultation will be bulk billed — so there are no out of pocket costs beyond the $15 for the vaccine itself.

The flu is more than just a bad cold. It can lead to serious complications, time off work, and in some cases hospitalisation. Getting vaccinated is one of the simplest and most effective
things you can do to protect yourself and your family this winter.
