Jasmine is our last feature before we recognise & celebrate them all tomorrow over a luncheon.
“Cadorna House has been my first and only aged care job, and I’ve been lucky enough to work here for the past two years while completing my Bachelor of Nursing. During that time, I’ve grown both personally and professionally and I’ve learned skills that I’ll carry with me throughout my nursing career”
“As a smaller aged care facility, Cadorna feels like one big family. The team genuinely cares about one another and our residents, creating a supportive, positive and welcoming environment. Everyone is always willing to lend a hand, and we all work together as a team to provide the best care possible”
“I love making a positive difference in someone’s day, even if it’s through the smallest gesture. I have a big caring heart and love giving our residents the care and kindness they deserve. Seeing them smile or laugh is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. I enjoy my job, Cadorna feels like my second home”
“I’ve built great relationships with both my colleagues and our residents. My colleagues and I are always happy to see each other at the start of every shift, and we work closely together as a team. I’ve also formed special bonds with many of our residents. Some get excited when they see me come onto the floor, ask when I’ll be working next, or tell me they’ve missed me if I haven’t been there for a few days. Those moments mean so much to me”
“If I notice a resident looking lonely or having a tough day, I’ll do a silly dance, crack a few jokes, or spend a little extra time chatting with them. They love my dancing because it’s so terrible, and seeing them laugh always makes my day. Watching someone go from looking down to smiling is one of the most rewarding parts of my job and reminds me why I chose a career in aged care and nursing”
Thank you for being here Jasmine 🥰
