Another fabulous day out for our Brookland crew last Thursday! 🚌☀️

We kicked things off with morning tea in the sunshine at New Farm Park before heading into the Queensland Communications Museum. It was a wonderful walk down memory lane—checking out vintage switchboards, dialing antique phones, and even printing a custom Birthday Telegram for Judy! We wrapped up the outing with lunch at the Colmslie Hotel.

What a fantastic morning we had at Brookland for our very first National Pyjama Day.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, dressed up and made the morning so much fun. From the colourful PJ'S and cosy slippers to the laughter, smiles and the confidence on the catwalk, it was wonderful to see so many residents getting involved and enjoying themselves.

Events like this remind us that it's not just about dressing up - it's about coming together and sharing a laugh for a great cause.

Thanks to everyone's amazing support, we've now raised over $700 for Nation Pyjama Day! Every donation helps make a real difference for children in foster care, so thank you.

Already looking forward to next year.

What a fantastic evening we had cheering on the Maroons together - apart from some ring-in Blues supporters (you know who you are...Rachel and friends).

Last night's State of Origin event was filled with great company, plenty of laughs, pre-game games, delicious pizza, refreshing drinks and a great atmosphere.

While the final score wasn't quite the result we were hoping for, the real win was spending the evening together with such wonderful residents and creating more great memories as a community.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and to Terry for looking after everyone in the Bar. We can't wait for next year - "QUEENSLANDER"

Beyond proud of our team! 💙 🎉
The Brookland Village staff and Reside management team dressed up for the retirement industry's night of nights at the National Retirement Living Awards, where Brookland was a finalist for our Brookland Robertson redevelopment! 🥂
We didn't take home the win, but we loved celebrating the amazing care and community that defines our sector.
As part of a growing network with five market-leading projects completed and in development across South East Queensland, we're already looking forward to next year. Huge thanks to our staff for making Brookland an award-worthy place to live! 🌟

What a wonderful morning we had today at Brookland. A big thank you to the Social Club for organising another lovely concert for our residents. Marco had everyone entertained with his guitar playing and a great selection of tunes, with plenty of singing along through the morning. Residents also enjoyed some delicious morning tea and most importantly, wonderful company and enjoyment together.

We had a truly beautiful Mother's Day High Tea last week.

A huge thank you to our wonderful social club and all the amazing helpers who put together such a special afternoon. The food was absolutely delicious, the company was wonderful and the atmosphere was full of laughter, friendship and lovely memories.

It was also extra special as we celebrate one of our residents turning an incredible 95 years young! What a privilege to share such a milestone surrounded by friends and community.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a Performance by Liam Waldock recently at Brookland. He performed a wonderful mix of modern songs, opera, and musical theatre - what a voice!

We're excited to share that our new fortnightly outings have officially begun and what a fantastic start it was.

Our lifestyle coordinator, Kate, kicked things off with a beautiful trip to Roma Street Parkland. On the way, residents enjoyed a themed podcast about the destination, setting the scene for the day ahead. Once there, Kate had thoughtfully prepared information sheets for a bit of fun and making the experience both engaging and informative.

A special mention also goes to resident Steve, who captured some wonderful photos and assisted Kate throughout the outing - thank you, Steve!
