"Hi, I’m Imogen, a third-year Bachelor of Counselling student at Griffith University. I’m excited to be part of Walk and Talk for Wellness! I love that I can combine my passion for supporting others with the benefits of nature, movement, and meaningful connection. I aim to create a safe, calm, and supportive space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and comfortable to explore what’s going on for you. I believe that spending time outdoors can be incredibly grounding and can support emotional well-being, self-reflection, and a deeper sense of connection.
My counselling approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual. I incorporate mindfulness to support awareness and acceptance, and I enjoy working collaboratively to develop practical and empowering strategies that feel right for you. I look forward to walking alongside you. "

Walk and Talk welcomes Scott to the team, available for appointments every Thursday at 8,9, and 10am . Bookings are essential 🌳🌞🚢 "Hi, my name is Scott Mitchell and I am currently completing a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy through ACAP. My approach to counselling is warm, collaborative and grounded in genuine human connection. I have a particular interest in supporting men's mental health and helping people navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, loss and personal growth. As a father of two, in a long-term relationship of 17 years and having travelled extensively throughout my life, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I am especially drawn to nature-based interventions and the unique therapeutic opportunities they provide. Walking alongside a client in a natural environment helps to reduce stress, encourage reflection and create a more relaxed and open space for conversation. I believe this combination of movement, nature and meaningful dialogue supports emotional wellbeing and greater self-awareness. Alongside counselling, I have a love of the ocean, creating music and I value the important role that nature can play in supporting psychological health and personal growth.

Sometimes you meet people that want to make a difference in a way that really aligns with your own vision ! And not only do they understand you, they can support your progress and collaborate in ways that bring greater results !! I feel very lucky to have found a couple of these people on my Walk and Talk journey. Meet Adam McMurray, Program Coordinator (Commissioning) at Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) and Sam Hughes, City of Gold Coast Active & Healthy Team Lead. It's taken some time, but as a result of this connection, Walk and Talk for Wellness Inc. has been offered a 12mth contract by GCPHN to support operations in Benowa Botanic Gardens 🚢🌞🌳 Who knows what might be next ?! πŸš€

Walk and Talk would like to welcome our newest student facilitator to the Benowa Botanic Gardens service "Hi my name is Ella and I’m a counselling student studying a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Taking the first step toward seeking support can feel daunting, and it takes real courage. I'm here to make that step a little easier.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply unsure of where to turn.
My approach is collaborative and client-centred, meaning you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, in a space that is non-judgmental, confidential, and genuinely supportive.
I believe that everyone deserves access to a safe space where they can be heard, understood, and supported to find their own way forward.
I warmly welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and walks of life."
Ella is available every Thursday for appointments at 8,9, and 10am. Bookings are essential @ walkandtalkforwellness.com

It was a tough goodbye to Chanelle and Laura on the Thursday 30th April πŸ₯² 6 months ago these two beautiful ladies began their practicum experience with Walk and Talk, full of butterflies, and nervous excitement. To say they had an impact on us is an understatement. They leave, for now, with so much experience, changed forever, having given so much to our team and the wider Gold Coast community. Laura and Chanelle, THANKYOU !!! It's not goodbye, it's "WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!" 🌳🚢🌞
