About Playful Pathways Playgroup
Playful Pathways is a supportive playgroup designed to help parents and caregivers better understand the importance of play in a child’s development. Together, we explore how children communicate, learn, and build relationships through play, while discovering simple ways to strengthen connection and attachment with our children in everyday moments.

Why Do We Use Choices?

Giving children choices helps them feel safe, capable, and empowered.
Children naturally seek a sense of control, and when they are offered appropriate choices, they are more likely to feel calm, cooperative, and connected.

Choices help children:

Develop confidence and independence
Build decision-making skills
Learn responsibility for their actions
Reduce power struggles and challenging behaviour
Feel heard and respected

By offering two safe and acceptable options, adults can maintain boundaries while still allowing the child to experience a sense of control.
