🌞 Hope’s Tips for Keeping Horses Happy in Hot Weather! 🌿

Hot, wild Rockhampton weather can take a toll on our horses, so here are some simple ways to help them stay cool, hydrated, and comfortable:

✅ Salt: Provide a salt block or loose salt daily—horses lose a lot of electrolytes in the heat.
✅ Fresh Water: Make sure water is always clean and available.
✅ Extra Hydration: Add a little water to feed—it’s an easy way to get them drinking more.
✅ Cooling Down: Hose them off and let the water evaporate—it naturally cools them down and keeps their coat breathable.
✅ Keep Rugs Off: Avoid blankets or rugs in hot weather so your horse can naturally regulate their body temperature.

Taking these steps can make a big difference in keeping your horse calm, happy, and pain-free during scorching days. 🌿🐴
