headspace Rockhampton and Roseberry QLD are so excited to host this year’s Pride Formal in celebration of Wear It Purple Day 2026! 💜🌈

This event is all about creating a safe, inclusive, and affirmative space for LGBTQIA+ young people and their allies to dress up, dance, celebrate, and reclaim a classic rite of passage.

Whether you’re a young person looking for an awesome night out or a parent, carer, or worker supporting someone who'd love to go-this one’s for you!

📍 Location: The Birdcage Lounge (CQUniversity North Rockhampton Campus)
👗 Dress Code: Formal attire / Theme: Colours of Courage
🚫 Important Note: This is a strictly alcohol-and drug-free event.
👥 Age Group: 16-25 years old (and their allies!)

How amazing are the young legends at The Cathedral College taking part in the Push Up Challenge this year?!

TCC have always been incredible supporters of this annual initiative; encouraging their young people to take active participation in not only their own wellbeing, but the wellbeing of others.

There is only ONE MORE WEEK to go of the Push Up Challenge, so there's still plenty of time to make your tax deductable donation to expand the programming of headspace Rockhampton right here in CQ.

headspace Rockhampton will be closed June 10th and 11th for staff training and the Rockhampton Show Holiday.

We will reopen Friday the 12th of June from 8:30am as usual.

That fear of being “cringe” can quietly shape the choices we make. It can stop us from wearing what we like, joining in, or letting ourselves be excited about the things that matter to us.

Often, it comes from a fear of being judged, so we judge ourselves first. Noticing that feeling, separating your worth from other people’s opinions, and taking small steps to be yourself can help.

You don’t need to be fearless to show up. Being yourself might feel uncomfortable at times but it’s also how confidence and connection grows 💚

Creative expression + meaningful conversation = a beautiful day with .time.out ✨

Cherry dropped by their Empower Her program today to guide participants through a workshop on setting healthy boundaries. It was so inspiring watching the participants map out their values through collaging and open up about what keeping their space safe looks like to them.

Girls Time Out is an incredible local non-profit empowering youth through housing, employment, and resilience programs.

Did you get a chance to Drop in and Draw with our amazing team at headspace Rockhampton today? 🎨

The Hands of Support community event is all about connecting people who might be going through a tough time with local services that are here to help. We are so incredibly grateful to be a part of this community and offer a safe space for a yarn.

💚 Remember: If things are feeling heavy right now, you never have to carry it alone.

If you're doing it tough right now, Hands of Support is a community event designed to connect individuals experiencing hardship or at risk of homelessness with essential services who can help.

There will be a wide range of free support available on the day, including:
- Flu vaccinations, eye appointments, and general medical check-ups.
- Free haircuts to help you feel your best.
- Direct access to housing support and RentConnect.
- A free "shop" featuring nonperishable food and clothing items.

headspace Rockhampton will be running the chill-out zone with arts and crafts activities and information on where to connect with mental health services in our region.

Remember, you don’t have to carry it all on your own. Come along, take a breath, and let’s connect-our community is here to support you 💚
