It's not perimenopause. You're just underf**ked.
Okay, that's not conpletely true. But it's more true than you think...
Stay with me.
Somewhere along the way, you started putting everyone else first. Their meals, their moods, their needs, their timelines.
And all that survival, you forgot things. Small things.
What your favourite food is (not what you make because everyone else likes it!)
How you used to dance before you cared who was watching.
How you actually like to be touched, not how you've learned to perform π€―
Pleasure doesn't start in the bedroom. And, I'm sorry, but it isnβt anyone else's responsibility except your own.
Twenty years in bodywork work has shown me a pattern. Hormones are being blamed in hundreds (if not thousands) of women's bodies, after years of that body running auto pilot and running on empty.
No rest.
No real nourishment.
No joy that wasn't squeezed in around everyone else first.
If your nervous system was actually regulated.
If you fuelled your body with real food instead of whatever's fastest between school runs.
If you invited joy in every single time it knocked instead of telling it to wait, your hormones would have a fighting chance to balance themselves out.
And we'd all be f*cking like rabbits.
So which is it?
Are your hormones making you exhausted, touched-out, and disconnected?
Or is a life spent abandoning yourself the thing making your hormones chaotic in the first place?
Chicken or egg?
I had a hysterectomy at 39. I'm in "perimenopause" right now. And through my own Aligned Woman Method, the same somatic work I've spent years refining, I've never been more turned on by my own body than I am today.
Either way, the fix starts in the same place: coming back to yourself first.
Comment or DM - ALIGNED if you're ready for a pleasure led life.
